I can't find what gem support is needed for the poison toxic rain alt build. Every example I find is for scourge arrow. Are there differences between gemming for PTR and SC? Or do I just plop TR into the SC slot?

The end-game PoB has a poison TR skill group, but it currently doesn't have alt options.

What alt gems I think would work for poison TR are:

- TR: +2 arrows (Phantasmal gem) or increase AoE (Default gem).
- Vile Toxin: Poisons deal damage 5% faster (Divergent), 10% inc poison duration (Anomalous).

The rest of the 6 links is the same: Awake Unbound ailment, Awake Deadly Ailment, Awake Void Manipulation, Awake Added Chaos damage.

Other alt gems that worth considering:

- Blast Rain: increase AoE (Default gem), 5% chance to cover enemies in ash (Anomalous gem).
- Withering Touch: +20% chance to apply an additional stack of wither (Divergent gem) --> increase total chance to wither on hit to 30%.
- Mirage Archer (MiA): +2 projectile (Anomalous gem).
- CWDT: +20% inc duration (Anomalous gem).
- Arctic Armour: +1% less phys/fire damage taken (Divergen gem).
- Herald of Agony: +20% chance for Crawler to inflict wither on hit (Anomalous gem).
- Dash: grant phasing for 2 sec ((Divergent).
- Withering Step: +2 Withered stacks (Anomalous gem).
- Enduring cry: +40% inc warcry speed (Anomalous).
- Malevolence: addtional +10% inc skill effect duration (Anomalous).

The MiA and Withering Touch alt gems will boost the effectiveness of our withering on hit mechanism by a great amount.

With all the inc duration support to Wither, each stack of wither will last more than 5sec, i.e huge in single-target damage boost.

Why do we use the penetration version of vinktar instead of the lightning damage to attacks ( since we convert more than half of it into chaos damage anyway). Is it still better than having flat lightning to chaos ?

I just imported the Vinktar that got dropped for me, which was the penetration version. You are right. The flat lightning damage to attack (not spell) is better.

I loved your build. My favorite! The defensive part is incredible. I already had a PF SA but now I'm moving to this build. Can you help me? I know that is possible to improve with what I have here.

We have a version with 2 large clusters, but most people prefer the balance one-cluster version. What is your budget?

Played this in Mayhem. I'm not great mechanically so I'm just going to give my thoughts based on gameplay instead.

Bossing is great if you can set up correctly, i.e Blast Rain, Despair, Plague Bearer, fully charge. I think the damage went up with Coralito since I'm still in scuffed gear = no poison duration.

Clearing is great, albeit kinda squishy. Curse on hit ring really helps with clear when Coralito put a dent on your hit damage so get one early on if you can, it's quite easy.

+1 arrow kinda helps with bossing according to the guide, and it does feel better to shooty tooty 2 arrows so I replace my Drilneck too.

Here's the gear at lvl 87, quite easy to get imho. I'd say 50-70c for the whole thing:

https://pastebin.com/r9dRtsGu this is my char, I belive we can make it better. I dont how to improve. Maybe Malevolence over the two auras, but that will decline my defences. For now I spend all my ex in this gear, have only 15 ex. Maybe malevolence and watcher eye ?
