Thread of Hope Crimson Jewel How it works?

Someone guide me on this, i have read many times still not get it? I followed somebody build and brought the jewel and place there, besides the -15 ele resistances, I dont feel how it bring any benefit. I still unable to save more skill point.

they come in 4 sizes, small, medium, large, very large, you can allocate nodes without connecting to within the ring so you need a specific purpose for each one.
For example I think a large in the center duelist slot allows you to get +1 minimum frenzy/endurance charge without being connected which is pretty high value (or can be) They aren't much good if you don't know exactly what you want to do with them though, in the slot that you've highlighted for example with the right size you can get Acro which would save you 3 passives if that's all you wanted from the duelist side. |

For a BV Assassin build, in that position, you would typically go for things like Hunter's Gambit, Heart of Oak, Swift Venoms, and/or Revenge of the Hunted.
You might build out to take Revenge of the Hunted the normal way, but the first three you probably wouldn't spend the points on. Think of it as spending 5 points to get 3 good notables that you otherwise couldn't fit into your build. Also note that the -15% resistance is a penalty! To get PoB to work with it, you need to edit the jewel to say "allocates XYZ" for every node you want to allocate with it - where "XYZ" is the name of each notable and you are using a separate mod line for each. He did pick the correct size, but he did not allocate the passives. See my note above for the correct ones.

" Now i got it. your explanation helped!!! after checking in POB, go with Adder's Touch notable give more DPS with 1 skill point versus 2 skill points on Hunter Gambit n Swift Venom. so i have repurchase the correct size of thread jewel.
