[3.10] Cry Havoc "Lag Proof" Warcry Berserker (Tanky | High DPS | All Content Viable)

Thanks!
After changing what you recommended ive been flying through content. Man its great. My spread of resist and accuracy is taking a pain on trying to bring up the dps but how would you work around increasing dex to get a foil on. its like 80 dex over away and I cant seem to figure out a way to get more dex. Ive done everything deathless essentially other than hiccups where I forget berserk is about to be down or just picking things up in the middle of a screen of mobs LOL.

It can be tricky getting the dex just right without messing up other things such as resists, etc. It really depends on your gear. Obviously you want to get as much dex on your gear as possible. The rings and ammy can be good sources.

Another option would be to look for small cluster jewels that fit into the general idea of the build that have dexterity such as these:

As an exmaple, here's the sources that my current character has for dex. 6 of the dexterity sources on the tree are actually from small cluster jewels.

I agree with the above amulet and cluster jewels in particular are a good way to get dexterity without taxing other elements of the build.

Remember that when using 4 small clusters 3 of which don't have particularly high stat requirements you can add a total of 66 dex with solid rolls.

Also always remember to catalyze your amulet for attributes it can add 10-20 extra depending on how much you have on the item.

-----

Rings and gloves (along with crafted suffixes on helmet, boots, chest) can also add stats but it can often come at a cost to another aspect of the build (example, on gloves you ideally want chaos res, attack speed, and accuracy as your suffixes).

Nice shout on the cluster jewels. Worked out perfectly. Had to drop close combat for fortify on hit but the damage increase from the 500pdps foil makes up for that. Probs gonna last thing few things to upgrade are a precision watchers eye and maybe a ring. My POB numbers might be inaccurate though its showing a lower average dps than i expected.

After looking at your PoB for a bit I'd say the numbers make sense, you're at about 12m dps with berserk up + totem down on single target bosses.

Some things to keep in mind:
1) You're using Poacher's Mark which is good defensively for the LGOH but less dps than Vulnerability/Amark by a good bit.

-Poacher's Mark
+Vulnerability or Assassin's Mark
is a net gain of ~860k dps

2) this setup will be good for clearing as it provides consistent dps but Close Combat is incredibly strong for single target, you also don't have Haunting Shout or Awakened Melee Physical Damage meaning you're missing Intimidate.

Assuming you add in Awakened Melee Physical Damage you gain approx 1120k dps bringing the new total to around 14m.

For reference using Close Combat + Ichimonji instead (with awakened melee phys) would be around 13.3m

So the net gain here is that your dps is a lot more consistent (assuming you add Haunting Shout or Awakened Melee Phys), but a 500 PDPS foil isn't a "huge" gain over Ichimonji.

3) some other factors that aren't huge but do add up:
- For single target you lose frenzies since you have -15 on your chest, while clearing you have them regardless.
- One of your large clusters is missing a notable.
- A little less damage on your gear than my original setup.
- some uniques could be better rolled (Lion's Roar + Ryslatha).
- no Tailwind or Elusive on boots.
- 500 PDPS on a foil is close to the minimum for it to beat Ichimonji, the dps scales as the weapon gets better (ex a 540 PDPS gives you another 1m dps).

-----

So overall those are the two big things to explain why your dps might be a little lower than you expect but also part of this is that there's very few things artificially inflating the numbers in these calculations. IE: situational buffs that are unlikely to be up when you're actually playing the char. If you feel your damage is low and want to improve it I think I'd pick an area to work on and keep improving. Even in my original PoB there was a lot that could be done to improve the dps and the gear. You're not that far off from my PoB though.

Most importantly, when you're mapping and clearing content do you feel your dps is lacking? If so I'd pick one of the 3 areas above and focus on improving things.
Thanks for the insights! Been playing POE for not too long and I've learnt more from you and this build than the others I've tried. I figured the ichimonji would work better in this situation with the aura buff and fortify but I couldn't let a steal of a foil that was essentially cheaper than the ichimonji go. Thanks for the explanations!

Np, and I think overall the choice to use the foil over Ichimonji isn't a bad one, it just means you need to do a little extra work to fit in the dex.

I'm glad you're learning, it's why I post these guides.
Hi, tks for the guide.

I was thinking about using Breathstealer with Cleansed Thoughts for chaos res. What do you think?
