Path of Backtracking.
This is really really REALLY bad in long maps like Lair.

While I understand that backtracking is a pain and it sucks, and a lot of maps can't be done while doing Delirium, especially bosses that have phases make it impossible to complete, w/e just don't do those maps, and if you wanna complain about a free game and quit for the league; NO ONE WILL MISS YOU, stfu and go play another game already

No fix for backtracking and having to zoomzoom maps is not good news. I was holding out for that. Guess that's it for me this league.
I don't usually feel so badly about a league even if there are problems but this league is just not fun. Other game mechanics so far allowed us to go at our own pace outside the mechanic itself and while interacting with things such as strongbox crafting, betrayal choices and generally not making us abandon thought and planning when doing maps. Now it's zoom, zoom, no time to think.
It's just not fun. Sorry.
I'm sad to see the march league be another 'bad' league as it historically has been but this was just too experimental. Better luck next time eh? No hard feelings.
Be back if things change, otherwise see ya next league :D
Have you tried delerium orbs?
You need to go zoom zoom to get the orbs. If the base mechanic was simpler and didn't require you to race through the map, I would have no problem with it. The orbs and the simulacrum are fun and have a great difficulty increase. But the base mechanic is not fun and that's the thing you are interacting with most of the time.

GGG, please fix in Sirus offscreen DIE beam!
My first attempt (A5) and 5x death on the offscreen DIE beam!
Similar experience for me. I feel like if you die once in the last phase, the fight is pretty much over. For some reason I feel like this fight just got super bad with this league. Killed L8 Sirus bunch of times last league :(

Fixed an instance crash that could occur when using Blade Vortex.
Holy... was THAT it? It was my skill causing crashes all this time? Not my rig, not overjuicing maps, not the fog, not Syndicate, not Legion, not Alva, not even beyond?
Will I actually be able to play normally now? I'm so hyped!
Holy sh*t. This is so sad to read, I can't even...

Added more preloading for various commonly-encountered assets.
just preload everything in the freakin map if enough ram is available
This. Would be rad if GGG could add a check to see how much RAM you have

Timer-based league mechanics have always been lazy and (in my opinion) bad choices for creating gradations of success.
The basic fact that fast clearers are already heavily rewarded by, you know, the fact that they clear maps fast, is something that players point out to GGG again and again, league after league, again and again and again and again and again and again and again...
GGG will never learn, because as long as this Skinner box is more sophisticated than a clicker, they will make bank. So caring about things like "good game design" isn't a priority. I honestly feel bad for people who work for GGG (both mods and devs); it must be a soul-sucking job at times.
Some precious angel* in this thread (there's always at least one) said that if you don't like it just stfu and find another game, and "no one will miss you." Ironically enough, I actually consider that good advice for anyone who hasn't played the game long enough to have significant buy-in.
*Edited to prevent mod intervention.
