I enjoy leveling with Templar + caster/brand/totem, so it was trivial personally to farm using Storm Brand then switch after getting gear.

By league start, do you mean leveling as melee?
Like you said, Voidforges are usually very cheap. But Bottled Faith is a big damage boost (crit chance + increased damage taken) and a quality of life since the flask refreshes Consecrated Ground while Flicker Striking. So is the crit chest (but Belly of the Beast will do just fine).

Definitely, since Sweep adds flat damage as well. IMO Flicker Strike is hard to beat on speed and "defense" (for being always "moving"), but I don't see why Sweep wouldn't work for damage.

Got 2nd veil on 3rd try with bench (once with T2 bench, 2nd and 3rd try with T3 Aisling as leader).

* Got Cold/Chaos res / +1 minimum Frenzy Charge on 1st one, picked Cold/Chaos
* +1 min Endurance Charge / +1 min Power Charge on 2nd one, picked Power Charge
