[3.15?] (Archived) Ball Lightning Miner | Facetank Sirus | Destroy All content
I checked poe.ninja and I see that nobody's using Pathfinder\Shadow Sabotuer ascendancy like advised in this guide. Why is that? Should I respec again?
Also, the majority of people are using Mace\Mace. Does it make sense to switch to that as well? Here's my gear, would also appreciate advice on what I should upgrade. |

" Personally I think Hierophant is getting more love due to the increase in overall survivability we get from it. Path of Building estimates them at roughly the same damage (including the nodes leading up to them), but we get better defensive measures from Hierophant. We also get blind from Disorienting Display on the large cluster, so I think it's a better choice overall. " There's not a huge difference between your current weapons (assuming you remove-added them until they got perfect rolls) and the Sambar Sceptre weapon crafts most people are running, but there is a difference. The main reason is the weapon implicit really, as we don't get anywhere near as much additional damage per hit from the "40% Increased Global Critical Strike Chance" compared to penetrating elemental resistance. They are expensive to craft though, especially 2 of them, so you'll have to be really patient and have a good bit of spare currency. If you wanted to stick with your current weapons and just make them better, then removing the resistances and making sure you roll high spell crit and global crit multiplier will make a huge improvement. " You're sitting in a relatively similar boat to myself from a few days ago when it comes to gear I think. After some suggestions from other users here, and looking through the community crafting guides for our replaceable gear slots (belt, gloves, amulet, one of the rings), I put all of the crafts into PoB. There's a really significant increase in both damage and mana from upgrading them all (check out the final section of the build guide on page 1 for crafting information on the Blue Pearl Amulet, Stygian Vise and Fingerless Silk Gloves, as well as page 50 for Faendris' gear loadout, in which you can see the ring which is relatively simple to craft too). These are of course overall expensive crafts, particularly the dual influenced gloves (and dual influenced styg if you choose to go that way rather than the crusader only), so expect to be making very small changes over time as you get currency and harvest crafts. Some other things that stand out to me as being some big (and some small) improvements with what you already have: Flask quality - easy to add, and you don't seem to have 20+% on most? Amulet annointment - Another easy thing to add, Arcane Capacitor or Crusader would both be good options, and they're cheap with the current price of oils. Better rolls on uniques - Probably not what you want to hear, but having a better Cloak of Defiance adds another ~300+ mana, more if you have additional % mana scaling from jewels. You can buy a cheap perfect rolled no socket/link and fuse it again yourself, or spend the 5-6ex on an already linked one, but that'd be a decent upgrade, especially since we get damage from our overall mana pool. Same for Indigon, perfect roll on %Mana and %Spell Damage is a lot of extra damage. Other things worth mentioning would be cluster jewel rolls, having the correct notables is a big bonus. We have so many jewel slots as well that it would be a waste not to be getting a lot of bonuses from them, having some combination of mana, mine throwing speed and crit on them is huge overall. But obviously scale slowly around resistances, I know I still get a lot of my resistances from jewel suffixes at the moment. Would really recommend importing your character into Path of Building to compare! You can pretty quickly craft the suggested changes and compare the differences yourself. Good luck! EDIT: A couple of other small things I thought might be worth mentioning based on your current gear that you may already know (sorry, couldn't judge experience as your profile is private): You have added lightning damage to attacks on your gloves, but we don't get any damage scaling from lightning added to attacks, only spells, so that prefix isn't currently helping the build. You've also enchanted one of your weapons with increased accuracy, however accuracy has no effect on spells. The best harvest enchant we can add to our weapons is "Quality does not increase its Physical Damage, grants 1% increased Elemental Damage per 2% Quality". Hope that helps! " Yep ^__^ she's a dumpster fire atm because she began life as a different build, and I'm farming regrets to spec her out of all the es and crap :P As for ascendancy I like the idea of flaskfinder, although it does tend to cap your crit dependence on whatever you can get between a diamond flask and Bottled Faith...defensively it's much more versatile with loads of evasion, quartz dodge, phasing, speed, and more speed. Hey guys, what is up?! Everyone melting Sirus and stuff? Hope so
Quick question, is Headhunter worth for this build? For mapping in general and full delirium maps, what you guys think about this item?! |
|
" I've not seen many comments surrounding it, but if you jump back to page 50, Faendris posted their gear loadout, which included a Headhunter, with some small details on it. Probably not the level of detail you were hoping for though. |

" I'd probably get a presicion crit multi + damage to mana clarity watcher's eye before HH. Mostly because I'd need to rebalance resists. Last edited by Yalpe#3404 on Jul 28, 2020, 6:31:43 PM

Is there any way to reliably get mana rolls on your glove while crafting Culling and Unnerve on them? Or do you just slam awakener orbs until you get incredibly lucky?
|
|
" When I took a brief look into this the other day, the conclusion I came to is that the cheapest/most reliable way is Essence of Misery. Craft of Exile has the rate of also getting Culling Strike at around 140 essences. The 120-140 range is about right with what I got from the simulation too. This also has the benefit of giving us more mana than a non-essence mana roll. Somewhat expensive, at around 6ex of tries on average, but it's the one with the best chance I believe. Up to you to decide how much that 23 mana difference is worth, and whether you can more cheaply add that flat mana elsewhere first! Last edited by Sigthorne#5278 on Jul 29, 2020, 1:41:14 AM

I really love your build, finally something i can use to get all the endgame content.
But I would love to get some feedback from you, like where i could have some improvments and stuff. I really appriciate your work here! |

" Thanks for a thorough reply, dude! I need to learn crafting, like I didn't understand 60% of what you wrote lol. I just bought what looked good according to the guide. Thanks again! |
