Reddit Mods are being GGG shills about the Purposeful Harbinger Nerf
Something to keep in mind is that GGG was probably able to convince themselves to do a mid-league nerf because so much of the power was coming from a bug/unintended interaction rather than just poor balancing like other overpowered things people keep comparing to. The cluster notables are still going to have the poor balancing part and that will likely be adjusted in the next league's patch notes.

" Also, can I point out how stupid it is that you claimed the PoE subreddit almost universally hates you? And you've burned every bridge with GGG? Like, I've made a big noise about things, but I'm not even going to pretend that GGG notices, or even the subreddit notices. I could probably send death threats (not that I will), and GGG wouldn't notice. You don't have a bridge to burn. And you aren't popular enough to be universally hated for anything other than your name, which, I must admit, is making me hate you quite a bit. |

" Congrats you've just described 95% of builds on the poe forums. |

" Situation 1: X is OP. X is not nerfed. Situation 2: Y is bugged. Y is then bugfixed mid league. Hint: Situation 1 is NOT similar to situation 2. If you stayed in the realm of "I don't exploit bug", you wouldn't have any problem (and you wouldn't be affected by the fix in any way). But of course, when you start stacking shit which aren't auras and yet are still affected, then... Last edited by Keyen#4575 on Mar 31, 2020, 12:46:31 PM

" No, it's like saying 'I was racist but then I had a change of heart after a lot of soul-searching'. But since everything I said went waaaaaay over your head, I'll leave it there. Calling me a GGG shill just reveals your ignorance, big-time. But hey, whatever mate. It's your pity party. Innervation already posted it, but I'll iterate: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/wiki/rules#wiki_7._refrain_from_posting_duplicate_threads_about_the_same_topic_within_a_short_period_of_time "If multiple threads are posted about a server issue, announcement or other event, all but one will be removed." I haven't looked, and I don't plan to, but if they removed your thread and there was already a thread about it, that'd be why. There may be other threads that aren't deleted though. I haven't been a fan of the PoE subreddit's moderation for years. Either way, you broke a rule. They took action. That should have been the end of the story, but clearly you think otherwise. Why you'd post it here and not there can only come down to a feeling of desperation and helplessness on your behalf, I figure. Confirmed below... " I only said all that to qualify that I am absolutely not a GGG shill (and never have been, given *I* was the one who gave them the money, not the other way -- you do know what shill means, right?), and frankly I find that as your go-to defence laughably untenable. Especially when you clearly have no idea who I am. Not that it matters, because like you, I know GGG doesn't notice. Unlike you, I kind of like it that way. They know they've created something people just won't quit, no matter how poorly they treat their players. Have you quit, despite this little ragespurt? Of course not. :) And yes, don't send death threats. I know some part of you might want to, but don't do it. Because GGG would notice. Chris doesn't take kindly to his staff being threatened, and I imagine the reddit mods don't either. The really funny thing is you had a point in your post. You really did. You just made it the wrong way and then doubled down when that wrong way was properly handled. Man, why'd you do that? Seriously. Well, it got you attention I guess. Just not the attention you wanted. And if the best you have is 'I hate your name', pal, you're done. I have quite a few names, and this one is easily the nicest. :) Take care. Wash your hands. And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. As far as subreddits go the PoE one is pretty good about letting you post what you want. You're just not allowed to post anything that's mean towards individuals at GGG.
Reddit hivemind is still a big problem though. Once one comment gets accepted as the "truth" 10,000 people will try to fit in by parroting the post. This leads both to massive overreactions and blind spots. It's not unique to the PoE subreddit. All social media is like this. It's why all the major subreddits instantly silence all dissent and seed fake comments from shill accounts into every post. Since you can see the previous posts of users on Reddit you can clearly see which posters are viral marketers, Chinese/Russian trolls sowing discord, political agents, etc. |

" ? I expected this before you even knew this was a thing, I bet you'd find that the original dude even expected it lmao |

" Oh I see, you think "GGG shill" means anyone who disagrees with you. Man you are self centered. First how stupid do you have to be to think that GGG would not nerf that build immediately like any reasonable game maker would? Second how self centered and disingenuous do you have to be to get all butt-hurt and baby rage all over several forums about GGG doing the obvious thing? The GD forums are a sewer of selfish whiners and haters and somehow you managed to bring the standard down. Wow, just wow. |

Hey guys,
I'm going to go ahead and close this thread because this is treading into Code of Conduct breaching territory. I understand there's a lot of anger and upset over the recent changes, but that does not mean it's open season on people who may disagree with your point of view. Please note that GGG does not own or moderate the Path of Exile subreddit, and we have absolutely no say over the conduct of the moderation team over there at all. I also don't believe that our forums is the place for bad mouthing other sites or moderation teams, that is not appropriate for the Path of Exile forums. If you have valid concerns over another site and their moderation or policies I would suggest you reach out to the people in charge there directly. If you have any concerns at all please feel free to send me a message directly. :) Contact us at support@grindinggear.com!
