First, most excellent build and an even better guide explaining it all. Seriously the best guide I have read in my PoE life so far.

I know I "can" use any gear and the better the gear, the better the content I am able to run ... but, my question is:

In non SSF, which unique pieces would be BiS for each slot? Or in some cases, rates are better? And if rates, what is the priority for affixes? I know you said to prioritize life over all, but what comes after life? Life regen? Leech? Elemental damage? Fire damage?

Thanks a TON for replies.

Edit:

I reread everything and found the section on stat priority for gear. Thanks

I am still curious about BiS items for each slot though ...
Hey Dogasi_Leinad,

Thanks for the praise! You're very kind. I see that you found the "Dream Mod" section within "Gear" that gives some of the many BiS options for rare gear.

In terms of the BiS uniques? I honestly have no clue. I pay 0 attention to uniques. I skip that section in released patch notes every league.

Kaom's Way rings would match this build well. Rise of the Pheonix shield as well. I remember those but they are really obvious as well.

I think your strongest gear you could buy for this build would be one of two things:
- Anything that can shock an enemy based on the mechanics we use in the build (not sure if there is a mod for it).
- An 82+ level Elder Influenced helmet that has the Prefix for Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Concentrated Effect and the Suffix Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Burning Damage Support. Put RF in there and your build will have 2 six links.

I'm of the opinion that Rares are strongest for this build in every way. the right Influenced Items are amazing.

I know that doesn't answer the question the way you wanted, but I hope it helped. Thanks again for the praise and please ask anything you like.

Same here. I am thinking maybe if adding a range skill. Trap maybe? So I can toss them at oumos far from me while I melt the enemies near me.

Great build though. Really enjoying it. Even more so when I get all my gear linked and colored properly. LoL
Hey asshatticus and Dogasi_Leinad,

I have issues with Blight...personally. Obviously some builds have some things they are amazing at and some things that are tough for it. Blight is one of those for this build. But not all Blight. Just the Blight that spreads 180 degrees right off the starting point of the pulsey thing. This isn't a build that can skip back and forth quickly. I give a big sigh when my Blight encounters split right off the bat. That being said, this is what I do to make the splitting Blights successful: You NEED the towers. Not many but one per path. Focus on either slowing them with cold or stunning them. Once you can fully upgrade the tower(s) choose the options that slow/trap/stop the enemies even more. It'll give you the time you need most of the time. Now that being said, keep in mind that these monsters are really tanky and also benefit from the map mods you rolled. So sometimes it's just not going to work. I have a hard time remembering that too.

Let me know if that works out for you both.

Hello. I have been following your builds for a while and have tried all 4 during this league. It has been fun playing all of them. My goal is to now get this Enduring Fire to level 90, get a nice mace, better rings and amulet, and hopefully push my life past 6k.
Hey snirky2,

You've played all 4! Wow! Cool! I'm glad you're enjoying them. If you have any suggestions for the guides and their layouts, please let me know. I'm in the process (I'm sure you noticed having seen all four guides that I'm not done yet) of optimizing their layouts.

Good luck getting Enduring Fire to 90! It's tons of fun. RF is too fun a skill to not have in your "library" of characters. It's a build that can really be constantly improved with gear which I really like. Good luck and thanks for your kindness!

Just wanted to comment to say that I'm now at level 60 and can mostly maintain RF. This build is incredibly fun! To me, there's just something magic about the simplicity!

I just had one question: In your guide, it says that we should be able to maintain RF by the mid 50s. I was unable to maintain it without some stacks of endurance or hallowed ground, which actually worked just fine, but I was wondering what exactly is needed to maintain it at 1 minimum stack. Is there a minimum amount of +#% Life Regen gear that I need?

Thanks for the awesome guide. By not holding my hand through the entire leveling process like other guides I've followed, I actually learned WAY more about the game this playthrough than the last several. I look forward to doing the same next league.

Edit: No sooner than I asked the question did I level up my Stone Golem and Purity of Flame. Now I don't lose any health while sustaining RF. This build has now officially hit the most awesomeness point!
Hey tytanic44,

60! Sweet! Good job! I'm glad you're having such a good time. To me, the game is just so busy, that the less I have to worry about buttons, the more fun I have (but I also have to play that way ;)).

I see you fixed the sustaining RF issue/question you had which is great! But you do bring up an oversight in the guide for that section where I don't think I state that this build is VERY dependent on Endurance Charges for sustaining RF. So even for me, I didn't (before I started testing for 3.11) sustain RF in my hideout. I'm glad you got it figured out! Good job!

Thanks again for the thanks. I get a lot of flack for not having a step by step guidance. So even though I still firmly think that my intent is the most helpful longterm, the actual presentation of what new people ACTUALLY get from the guide is something I never know without feedback. So I really appreciate your comment and thanks. I'm really glad you've learned lots about the game. Thanks very much :).

Let me know if you have any more questions as you progress.

I see where the guide mentions two ascendary points (well, 4 point really). What is recommended for the other points?

Oh, and total newb question, but how do I turn OFF the RF ... like if I run labs and am in the treasure chamber and dont want to burn while standing around?

Edit:

FWIW I went Tawhoa and Valako in addition to the guide's Ramako and Tasalio
In the guide, go to Guts, then Passive Tree, then Ascendancy. There's your list of which nodes to take. You chose "correctly" ;)! (I'm working on a layout that doesn't have as many layers of "spoiler" tabs so information isn't hidden as much. That'll be out for the 3.11 guide. Sorry.)

You can turn RF off with a flask that gets rid of burning. If you've slain the beasts, it's an easy fight in the Menagerie.

Good questions!

Great idea on the helmet. I will do a search daily for one. I am still getting the links together as I didn't have currency to 4 5 or 6 link my gear ... but I am already able to handle rare tier 10 maps. Soon I see t12 in my future and then I will likely progress from there. Thanks again. Keep.up the great work
I've been trying this build out the last few days. I'm dual-wielding Razor of the Seventh Sun, which grants 100% increased burning damage when you ignite, plus some life recovery on ignite.

I am also using Doryani's Invitation:

for a little extra fire damage, though I'm not sure it's really worth losing the life a different belt could offer.

I kept dying to Delirium bullcrap with Incinerate, so I traded it out for Cyclone + Inspiration + Immolate + Combustion so I can spin my way through packs, igniting for the Razor bonuses and (most importantly) not having to stop moving. Plus, the mana usage of cyclone is negligible, so I could get rid of Clarity in favor of a movement skill (flame dash).

So far (L75) it's going pretty smooth, though I haven't advanced far into the atlas yet. Huge life recovery and the damage is decent-ish for an RF build. Thanks for the build, RF is still an awesome skill.
Hello there Wrecker_of_Days,

I just wanna say: THANK YOU!

This build is so relaxing, that I didn't even noticed when the league came to an end... well not yet, but soon ;) and all my stuff was cheap like a breath!

Wish you all the best and have fun with making it, that we have in playing it :)

P.S. sorry for bad english, hope you know what I wanted to say :)

Hey Orthaux,

Nice modifications! I hope they work well for you. Ya, the sucky thing about Incinerate is how much standing still you have to do. It can be tricky.

Thanks for the thanks and please let us all know how your modifications go as you progress! It looks cool.
