Well if you have some free time...

On the link you provided, there are 3 numeric values on each lines.
For example, for the first line : 11 - 73 - #to max life - 11000.
I can think it's something like : min - max - effect - rarity.
But for other stats it doesn't add up (I don't think you can get a 85% chance to block on an item, it's way above the max...)
So what does that mean ?

And on the wiki, when I look at a precise enchantment (say https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Modifier:EnchantmentBladestormDamage1~~) there are the Spawn Weights that I don't get. It's a probability (from 0 to 100) but of what ? Spawning on the specific equipment piece ?
And any other piece of equipment got 0% chance ?

And so if I want to craft something with specific effects, I must first look into the "Influence Prefix/Suffix" so I can see what I can get on a lootable item as an "unmodifiable main spec", and then check on crafting to see which line I can add ?
The influenced prefix and suffix must be of the same source I presume :) Not a chance in the world that I can have a shield that has a prefix from the Crusader and a suffix from the Shaper ?
Hey Scarfayss!

So the spawn rates of mods is actually something I don't pay attention to. All natural affixes have a chance of dropping. And the mods that have a slim chance of dropping are unlocked in other ways like Syndicate members. So for example, with Jun and the Syndicate, I don't really care about the item that actually drops from them. I just want to unlock all the mods that they have to drop. Then I can craft with them. But I've never taken the time to study the drop rates on the wiki or the site I sent you. I just use it for item-level knowledge.

In terms of Enchants, Enchants all have the same chance of dropping. So it's complete chance what you get at the end of a lab. Some Enchants are gear specific. So some enchant mods will only roll on helmets. And the best value of each enchant will only roll on the hardest difficulty of Labs.

Regarding Influenced items, you're correct. Only influenced items of the map/region's influence can drop. So you won't get a Hunter item in a Redeemer influenced map. The exceptions to that are things where you can influence mods. Metamorph bosses, Zana maps, Scarabed maps...there are things in the game that let you get sweet gear outside of the normal circumstance.

Does that help? Sorry if some of it was stuff you already knew.

Let me know if I didn't answer anything or if you have any more questions.

Big oops, I accidentally posted this in one of the older threads. Reposting here:

My idea for a build was very close. I tried using Cyclone instead of Bladestorm, Unfortunately, for some reason Tempest shield doesn't refresh its duration and some of the trigger skills don't trigger while spinning... even though I'm blocking! So I switched to Bladestorm and I love it. Glad I found this post and didn't delete my character!

You use only rares. What about some uniques? I like The Anvil amulet. I was wondering if I should try to 6L a Wall of Brambles. My resists would be fine with other items!

For flasks, I like Overflowing Chalice! That is because I am using Gifts from Above Diamond Ring, which together give a massive damage bonus while on consecrated ground! Have you tried this?

I also wanted to ask what you think of Iron Reflexes. Does blocking get checked before or after dodging? I have managed to corrupt an Atziri Reflection with level 23 grace, and the armor bonus I would get is huge!
Hey raz415!

Cyclone didn't work? Crazy! I wonder what the issue was...but I'm glad Bladestorm works well for you!

Ya, I only use Rares. The only reason I'm Rare only though is personal preference. I like the chance of improving my gear. So add any uniques you like that keep the build going! That's another reason I like to write guides that don't require specific gear, it' lets people do what they want with their gear. I like the uniques you mentioned. I think it's a good combo!

Blocking is rolled AFTER Evasion and Dodge. Give Iron Reflexes a shot and see if you still block lots. Lots of our bonus damage comes from either when we block or how many times we've blocked recently. Awesome job getting a 23 Grace!

(You could always use that 23 Grace here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2688487 (but I don't update that guide anymore).)

Good questions!

I've always been a huge fan of frost blades, would that work well with this build if I was to remove brutality? Or maybe molten strike would be more fun than frost blades?
Hey LeRusse!

Yup! You can honestly use any melee skill you want. Just double check the supports (like you already did). I made sure, while writing the guide to only include generic Melee and Attack damage nodes so choosing a weapon/skill would be easier.

Let us know what you choose! Personally, I'm a big Ice Crash fan. Each league, this build is almost an Ice Crash build...almost.

I might've been playing since beta on and off but i've never properly learned the game and might not choose the proper nodes.
I dont normally say anything on builds. Most are crazy expensive..

However..

This is one of the best builds ive ever played and not expensive at all. im able to run t16 maps with no issues.

I did swap brutality for culling strike in blade storm (feel free to offer a better option) as i use a high dps sword with 300 added lighting dmg and i dont use tempest in favor or dash to get around.

easy farming and easy runs.

Fun times!

After researching the wiki a bit, I think I have the answer to the Cyclone problem - trigger spells are only allowed to trigger ONCE during the entire channel. So while you're doing long spins, you won't be proccing anything more than once.

I have Iron Reflexes now and it. is. amazing. My block chance is 80% so I still block a lot, but I also get hit a lot which is great for things like Flagellant flasks and for the Gladiator Ascendancy bonus that increases damage when you block. I highly reccomend it!

I really love this build. I am level 80 now in Delirium with 0 deaths, I wish this was a HC character :)

One question about Blood and Sand: do you alternate between them at any time? I don't have any Maim chance anywhere else, so I switch to Blood for bosses. Do the Blind and Maim have any real duration, or does it only last while the aura is active and they are near me? Wondering if I can blind and maim them at the same time using only stances.

Since Beta! Awesome. Don't worry about learning the game or not, the knowledge just comes with playing and asking questions.

If you were to use any other physical melee skill I would likely keep the exact same supports as you currently have. If you're adding elemental damage to it, like you said, remove Brutality...and like replace it with Ruthless. Our Attack Speed is good enough that it would be worth it.

Hey XvXReaperXvX!

Awesome support titles! And thank you very much! Your post is very encouraging and kind. I'm really glad you like the playstyle and freedom of gear.

I hate but like using Brutality. It's really strong, but I hate ignoring elemental damage perks. The reason I was ok with it was because a bunch of the blocking nodes on the tree that we "need" improve physical damage, not just melee or attack damage :(. I really like your change though! Culling strike is a great option! I've been thinking about Ruthless as well. I'm not sure. Culling Strike is great as long as you're happy with your damage output!

Thanks for taking the time to be so thoughtful.

If you have any advice for the build or the guide, I'm all ears.

Awesome raz415!

I'm glad you found the issue. And I'm glad Iron Reflexes is doing so well! I'll take a good look at it for 3.11.

0 Deaths! You play this build better than myself :). That's awesome.

I find that I do rotate between both stances. Though that's just my nature. I think if I changed my button mapping around, that I'd likely just stay in Blood Stance. There are enough Rares around that we'd barely lose our Challenger Charges...and if we did lose the charges, we'd still be doing great damage against lesser foes. But I do switch...cause the button is right there...;)...but running in Sand Storms is really fast too. I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE!

Anything applied to an enemy via a skill that Hits will have a duration on the enemy no matter their location. Any applied via an aura don't have a duration but exist as long as they are in the aura.

Thanks for such kind praise! I'm glad you're liking the build! Did my answer help? Let me know if you have any others. Good questions.

Hey Wrecker!
I'm new player this league. Your build is super fun and really useful for beginner like me. Thank you! :D
I also put on a curse on hit ring too boost more damage.
But one question, i'm at lv 73 now, use a 32% block shield and cap at 75% block. After i spent 2 ascendancy points to get Violent Retaliation my block chance only rise to 77%. Did i miss something? :(
