3.14 💀 Torstein's Death Angel - All content viable - insane! 2x Oni-Goroshi
" I imported your build into POB. Using my Config, your current Blade Flurry max DPS is 9.49m. If I replace your armor with an armor corrupted with 48% damage, you move to 10.06m dps. I would argue you could get a MUCH bigger DPS boost for a much smaller cost if you move to the new cluster set up but you would have to make that determination for yourself. For Watchers Eye, look for Crit Strike Multi while using Precision or Attack Speed while using Precision. Look for both if SUPER rich. |

" I price checked on trade and it could go for 8-10ex total, excluding the antivenom/chaos res cluster. That's of course, having desirable mods on the jewels. PS: don't forget the dex on small passives. We're going to lack dex as the right side of tree was removed. |
|
" you are absolutely right about the dex! I completely missed that. I may have to use one point for a +30 dex to make things easier to balance. Which cluster jewel set up will be easiest to find dexterity on? We are lucky that we already have one of the 4 medium cluster jewels as it was the most expensive of the group. " I bought the clusters and this is what my toon ended up: https://pastebin.com/EMhi5uW1 its not the final build yet. there'll be lots of tweakings still. I got me to 17.8m dps from 12m(previous setup). Worth noting that i did not setup wave of conviction(coz you still don't want to get hit just to get more damage), banner/adrenaline(this still takes practice, if you're used to placing banners then tick adrenaline), and 50 rage stacks to make it more realistic. Tested berserk and its defo not perma, but it lasted hella long. Can just re-cast it when its gone. I took the missing dex at the fettle clusters. one with 3 passives, the other 2 with 2, all with 8dex per small node i think. the 30dex node would still be needed tho. This costs 1-2ex each. may vary depending on times i guess. PS: I didn't go for assassination anointment as well. I feel like life would be more important at this point. I just made the full conversion (this is the biggest change I have ever made in a build this late).
I am broke but I got everything done. The results were: *Slightly smaller life pool *Massive boost in DPS for both Infernal Blow and Blade Flurry *Lost acrobatics and phase acrobatics (I will have to see what the effect is with long term play) *Better Chaos resist *Lost the 1% bump on elemental resist from Soul of Steel Over all it looks like I traded damage for survivability but the real hidden feature here (and it will take a change of game play for me) is that we can stay in Beserk almost always. We have near instant 50 rage and as long as we move a bit, our rage gain is better than our Beserk drain on rage. And while Berserk gives a TON of offense, it also has one incredible defensive stat in 19% LESS damaged taken. Remember that LESS/MORE is much more desired than Increased/Reduced in almost every case. I ran three quick T16 maps and even though I was still getting used to using Beserk much more, the maps went faster and easier than before. I never saw my life move so this was probably not the best test case for survivability. I will report back after I do more. |
|
" keep playing with Beserk. The more I play the more I understand how to keep it going for a long time. Yes you may need to recast a few times every map but considering I never used Berserk unless I was bossing, this is a huge jump for me. |

I love that I still have so much to shoot for for improvement.
I still need attack speed on my gloves I need the damage corruption on the armor I need a couple of awakened gems still I need a watchers eye I need the beserk helmet enchant I need Cinderswallow with Multi crit better get back to grinding :) Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on May 3, 2020, 4:20:17 AM

" For defense, I think we're now solely relying on berserk + flesh and stone for this if I'm not mistaken. Although I've read quite many times that acrobatics(+ the spell dodge) is quite redundant with flesh and stone. so I guess this is more optimisation for us. Also, the damage while leeching gave more dmg for me instead of attack speed. prolly find something that has 40%+ roll on this? Damage corruption on kaom's is gold. but a bit expensive. got mine for 5ex(originally listed for 6, but seller agreed for my offer :D) awakened ancestral call is just marvelous for clearing. if you still don't have this, please do get it. Watcher's eye - If you could get a triple crit base jewel for less than 5-6ex, i would go for it instead of watchers. You'll lose 5-7% life though. |

" all great advice thanks! I am having very good luck so far. I am in the middle of a simulacrum right now (wave 16 coming up, just taking a break :) ) I will report back soon. For the Gloves, I think we want both attack speed and damage while leeching. These are not that expensive but my gloves carry so much Fire res and life for me, I can't change them up to get the attack speed I need (cost wise). While it seemed a luxury item at the time, I now also need to focus on getting the Berserk enchantment for the helmet. With the up time so much greater than before, that enchantment will be great. " So I put the new cluster jewel system to test. Here are my early results (note I am missing all of the above end game pieces). * Regular chiseled/aclhed/fragAdded T16's. Did 4 of these. Easy as can be. As long as I went in the right direction, made it all the way to boss in Dilerium. Bosses went down like butter * 100% Dilerium chiseled/aclhed/fragAdded T16. Got through this deathless but Kosis should have killed me, I got really lucky at one point. Also had Omni in the map but he is really easy compared to Kosis. * Drox at AW8. Killed him in 2-3 Blade Flurries, easiest ever for me for any build * Simulacrum. Died once, Kosis (my on going nemesis) got me on wave 20. I have a hard time changing up the weapons while in the middle of fighting, I do much better when I am prepared ahead of time. After setting up correctly in my hide out after dying, I took Kosis down fairly quickly. In the later waves, I definitely took some massive hits which almost one shot me. Getting a little more life in the next few levels should help. All in all I am pretty happy with the transition (outside of my aching wallet ;) ). My goal is to get to level 95 and hopefully purchase some of the items I am missing. Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on May 3, 2020, 4:19:58 AM
