"Farting and sneezing while pissing without missing a beat? Must be Russian. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

I am on the same thing this author is. In case you thought my fear was unfounded. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

"Nah man, anyone who's a part of an inherently at-risk group should definitely be concerned and take any reasonable precautions they're able to. It's been pretty brutal for people with compromised immune systems or who are prone to respiratory problems. Even people from those groups who have recovered or are recovering have tended to have a really miserable path to getting there. Putting off or outright cancelling stuff like weddings and big get-togethers is disappointing and a lot of hassle, but it's a good call in your situation. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

Yesterday it was the Australian Government's 'advice' that people avoid large crowds. Today it has been announced as policy that all gatherings above 500 people will be banned.
Currently it is their 'advice' to 'reconsider' non-essential travel. I'm quickly learning that if anything is true in the time of pandemic, it's that yesterday's advice is today's policy. So any such advice? Take it as gold that it's more than just advice. I hope this means we get refunds for our flights. Meanwhile, our fuckhead of a prime minister is still going to the football tomorrow because the ban conveniently doesn't come into effect until Monday. Because there's some magical law that states Covid-19 will only affect large crowds after this weekend. FFS. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Up next: Australian House of Representatives bans itself amid COVID fears
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Hey, I thought of something. Viruses are not known to like hot temperatures. It is expected for the spread to at least slow down a bit in the summer. Makes me wonder if the global warming is actually doing humanity a service, saving us from another threat.
I am surprised there are no cartoons depicting these 2 duking it out, haha |

That's largely a false hope, sadly one espoused by the same people who can't distinguish Novel Coronavirus/Covid-19 from seasonal flu, which IS inhibited by warmer weather. Sure, viruses typically don't like the heat, but there's no proof that warmer weather does much to slow Covid-19 down. All the cold really did was give it the regular old flu as a camouflage. We're not exactly in the throes of winter here in Australia, and we're facing exponential growth just like everyone else.
https://ccdd.hsph.harvard.edu/will-covid-19-go-away-on-its-own-in-warmer-weather/ Back to my earlier topic, there's a certain photo making the rounds showing our Home Affairs Minister Peter 'potatohead' Dutton photo-oping with the likes of Barr and Ivanka Trump last week. He has just been diagnosed with Covid-19, a fact that I suspect probably saw ScoMo abandon his foolish determination to go to the football tomorrow. Anyway, the question now is...was he a catcher or a pitcher? Bonus question: so can we expect everyone suspected of having Covid-19 to be tested as quickly? Dutton's quite famous down here for having a penchant for dumping sick refugees in subhuman conditions off-shore, so unsurprisingly a lot of people are suggesting he take a nice long sabbatical on Manus or Christmas Island. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable. This virus shouldn't be taken lightly, there are 5,080 deaths already in just 3 months.

No one in this thread is taking it lightly anymore. That lot fucked off to their own little ignorant safe-havens.
