100% wrong. HC is not dead at all. It's just that many players don't even make it to Sirus in HC. It's way more difficult than playing "fake it until you make it" mode. Not to mention never losing your gear in SC. HC is a whole different world.

Not saying there is anything wrong with playing SC. It's just 100 times easier to get to and beat the endgame.

Nah, he's right. 7800 chances at even seeing the latest and greatest interesting gear and content drops? Who wouldn't rather literally make it to Sirus and die trying instead? Apparently, your different world.

Also, two months on and still seeing name typos in this thread (not to mention "data analysts" who hate data, LOL). Spelled Sirus, pronounced Sirrus (nice one GGG), read as Sirius somehow... at least he's easier to spawn than Uber Elder. Can't wait to farm up my watchstones again next league as my second job.

You can obviously make a game for 3% "best players" -- but how many of the rest will remain to pointlessly grind with no reward? Diablo-clone ARPGs are based around character development -- and you can't develop if you don't have anything to develop. Delve, for example, was different -- players actually could progress their gear. But it was gutted.

I strongly agree with this. I have set my atlas with Awakened level 8, killed the conquerors several times and attempt to kill Sirus quite another bunch (some failures, some successes), not a single awakened gem or something of which I could bank some currency.

The fact that it takes way too long to reach the core of the end game is... Boring. And once you have fully potential you lose the interest in the fight.
1. Endless issues with the storm clouds.
2. Constant one-shot deaths from a Sirus you can't even see on your screen
3. Dying because you can't escape his comet-maze because you are too close to the stairs.
4. Getting to Sirus requires far too much time and RNG.
5. Lack of color contrast between the damaging ground and the normal ground.
6. The Sirus effigy in the sky isn't transparent, making it even harder to see what's going on in the fight.

Don't take it from me. Here's 28+ pages of anger. Nearly unanimous.

I have not been able to get past 14 watch stones, so Sirus isn't content I would even be able to die on lol.
