What We're Working On - Metamorph Week Four
To guys complaining about memory leak: the fix is not to use windows 7. Deploy it yourself.
The rest - in my experience, GGG delivers in the end. Calm your tits. It'll be fine. If literally all you do on forum is complain about the state of the game, maybe reconsider playing it? Game development takes time. Updates take time. Hotfixes take time. Sit down, chill out, come back in couple weeks. It'll be good for you. |

Thanks

" It depends on what our complaints are about. Slowness of bug fixes aside, I've been deeply unhappy with the direction of the game for the past few leagues and this league has made some terrible changes (imo) to the atlas, but I still love this game, and long for it to be fun again. So I'm posting feedback in the hopes that GGG will read it and hear my plea. Playing the game in the current state is a lot less fun than it could be. |

Guess we can discuss the atlas. Personally, apart from technical issues, which are, indeed, there in great amount, I'm loving it.
It's very simple to figure out and it encourages going all over the place and upgrading things. Sextant applying to watchstone? Fuck yeah. That's one of the best ideas GGG ever came up with. And before you claim it's unfinished...well, yes. If you recall, the very first atlas was...just that. Atlas. And eventually Shaper would show up three times, buff a boss of tier 4 map and next time you interact with him is when you do the shaper fight. It'll take time and fine tuning, as always. This is not exactly a simple mechanic to design and balance. |

" Yeah, you can install w10, but in current state w10 is some kind similar to PoE. It's good for a first look, but gets worse when you try to seriously use it. My attempt for w10 installation finished when OS committed suicide on reloads for three times in a row. It's not the thing i want to use. Also, OS support for game designers is not based on which OS supported by manufacturers, but on which is popular. And w7 is used way more often that w10. Maybe in year or two it will change, but today GGG must work with w7 too IMHO. |

thx ggg!

" The problem isn't watchstones, exiles or the progression speed. The problem is that we now have no way to block certain maps from dropping, which means we have far less ability to tailor our endgame to suit our individual wants and needs. We are being forced into one common endgame that isn't fun for everyone. I am not convinced that GGG even knows that this is a huge problem. They might even think that the new atlas offers more control than the previous one. Unless I see a response from them regarding this, I will keep posting until my fingers fall off. " What? These numbers show much different. I have been on Windows 10, along with the majority of others that I know, and have never had any issues versus Windows Vista, 7, or 8. Last edited by 1dollar#4789 on Jan 7, 2020, 7:22:04 AM

" 30% is still a lot and unless you work in a company, an upgrade is not necessary as of yet. Once the security support is done, you could argue, but unless you browse keylogger sites, you will be fine. Issue with Win 10 always was it´s compabilitiy to older software. Besides that, I play on win 7 and don´t have memory leaks, other play on Win 10 and do. This isn´t about the OS alone, there is more about this issue. |
