3.10 Wanding Berserker league starter. Power Siphon, Kinetic Blast/Bolt. All content done
Big Brain Berserker
Morning guys Moorhuhn here. In this guide I will talk about wanding on a berserker. I played the character with Power Siphon and Kinetic Blast as league starter in ssf. It however will perform with Kinetic Bolt as well. We obliterate screens with our clear 4l and utilise barrage Power Siphon to annihilate bosses. If you have any questions, ideas or anything else catch me live and just talk to me: https://www.twitch.tv/moorhuhnschlaechter Build explanation So first of all What is the build about: Great clear and insane single target dps is what makes the berserker great. Not to mention wander in the clear aspect. While wanders always were great at clearing the single target was the issue and this is what we address with this build. The berserker mechanics paired with berserk, war banner and power siphon barrage annihilates bosses on a very small budget and can scale into infinity and beyond. In this guide we will go over all the small bits and pieces that come together to form the monster we want to create. A Berserker with over 200 int. Content Played

Spoiler
This time we just combine lots of small things to make big things. The goal is to kill big boys before we run out of the good juice that flows through our 200 int brain and we go back to below 9000 berserk state. 50 rage, blitz charges, war banner, berserk, crit, barrage, 14 projectiles. Thats our single target dps. And it rocks. Can even kill Peninsula boss. (Which is a rock) Pro's and Con's
Spoiler
Pro's: + Works on a budget + Very good clear speed + Very good single target dps + Vanishing dye works wonders on body armor >.> + Does not require any specific gear + Scaleable into infinity + Decent Defensive layers + Can fit in many different uniques for small helpful interactions + Can be played as leaguestarter + Does not rely on tons of jewels like most wanders ... Con's: - Ele reflect and phys reflect are not doable - If you run out of your buffs you loose a significant amount of damage - You will die every now and then - Needs decent gear to scale offence and defence for t16 - Should not be leveled as wander without twink gear - Bad passive tree for early leveling - Might not be able to use any cluster jewels due to passive starving ... Gear discussion
Current gear
Weapon
The weapon is the heart piece of many attack focused builds and plays an important role on this one too. However, it is not as huge as some think. To start out with a wander in the endgame you only need a wand with some crit and some flat damage. Then you can craft flat damage or attack speed. When you find a decent wand with 2x flat damage and crit or attack speed the "trigger socketed spells when you use a skill" craft can be a very good addition to your build. With 3 damage spells that boost your damage this is much better for single target than an attack speed craft. In the endgame you would want a wand with 3x flat, attack speed, crit and trigger. This however is extremely expensive to achieve.
Shield
Mistwall is a great tool for both clearspeed and defence. While it does not provide us with life it gives huge amounts of block if we did not block recently and a chance to avoid elemental damage all together while phasing. Not to mention that it gives phasing whenever we block.
Helmet
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Fractal_Thoughts All of these are great options. With the buffs to crown of eyes it might be worth to pick this over the other options now. It however provides the least defence of all the items.
Bodyarmor
For the body armor you have many options. In the endgame I would recommend a crafted rare with attack crit and -mana costs. You can however stick with something like
Gloves
For the gloves you want rares with lots of damage and attack speed. Do not forget about life and resis though.
Boots
These are just generic rares with some life and resistances. If you have de money. Go for tailwind + elusive boots.
Belt
Damage. Damage. Damage. And life. Do not forget the life.
Rings
Rings are important gear pieces. They can provide huge amounts of resistances and life. They however can give you tons of flat damage as well. Not to mention the big ass WED rolls that are possible. For rings there are many mods you can go for. For offence you want: Flat damage WED Attack speed Crit chance/ Multi
Amulet
For the amulet you want the same as for the ring with a few changes here or there. You want to put more effort into getting big crit chance and crit multi with one big flat lightning or cold value. For the annointment you want prism weaver. There is no other node on the tree that is as big. You can now annoing "Spellslinger" as well. It might be slightly better than prism weaver even You can turn it into a talisman when all other steps are done. A tier 2 talisman is what you want to go for. For this you need Jorgin in the research safehouse at level 2.
Jewels
The good old watcher's eye. There are many good options. Go through the mods and pick one that is in your pricerange. You want one jewel with immunity to bleed corruption. You can do this yourself by corrupting lots of decent jewels. Nothing too expensive though. If you can fit in more jewels go for flat cold/lightning searching eye jewels
Flasks
A generic life flask with either immune to bleed, or when you have that immune to something else you do not like. Like freeze. Atziri's Promise. Its dmg. Wise Oak is a lategame flask. Use it only if you can tripple balance your resistances or if you have either lightning or cold much higher. A diamond flask is every crit chars best friend. If you get immune to freeze on your life flask or boots go for "increased critical strike chance during flask effect" craft from catarina. A stibnite with immune to curse is my go to flask when it comes to defence. Blind+ immune to curse is way too good. Gems
Spoiler
All Awakened gems can be the non awakened counterpart with a slight damage loss Offensive Setups: Single target dps: Clear: For Kinetic Bolt we have to discover the best gem combination yet. Movement Defensive/utility setups We use Frost Bomb, Projectile Weakness and Wave of Conviction in a trigger wand to increase our single target dps by a fair amount. War banner and Berserk are great tools to give a huge single target burst for a short amount of time. Time them together and wisely to put out as much dps as possible. Auras and Buffs Leveling
Spoiler
Leveling this build is in a very vague state currently. We do not know how good leveling with a wander will be with the changes in 3.10. Thats why I would recommend to not level as wander for now. You want to level up to 60 with melee. Maybe slightly longer even. When you fill out the wanding cluster above the witch you can make the changes you need to to start wanding. I created leveling trees you can go with while dual wielding one handed axes. Go with the melee skill of your choice. Sunder, molten strike and many more can be good options While leveling do not forget to level up your power siphon and supports for it in your offhand. Especially the added cold/lightning are very good for the transition later. Below the skilltree you can select the tree for your current level. In this pastebin you will find my personal favorite leveling uniques. https://pastebin.com/LiyS2UtC FAQ Q: Why Eldritch Battery A: Eldritch Battery provides us with all the mana sustain we need to cast constantly. With just one mana leech node and 50 free mana we can easily sustain all spells we want to use. Just 100 es is enough for Eldritch Battery because the recharge never stops. Do you gonna update the guide 3.10? Might play this build in SSF depending on patch notes.

" Yes, I plan on updating the guide before 3.10 hits Clawbased supp + carry guide

I probably gonna start with this build in SSF and did a test run. Leveling with melee is somewhat smooth, e.g. frost blades and double strike for bosses.
I would add the following things tho: + level KB + PS, added cold, added lightning, wrath, HoI in off hand or you gonna have a hard time switching with lvl 1 gems. + would recommend to do atleast cruel lab as melee to get more damage + farming a tabula might be worth it to get more lvls, better gear and a 6 link. Shouldn't take too long as KB build. Questions: Why do you take EB in your PoB at level 60? Its not useful without the watchers eye energy leech mod or? The new wandslinger cluster seems worth it. You get some wand dmg, attack speed and profit from spell damage which you can benefit from early wands and rare shields. You could even use flame dash + arcane surge (in place of precision and enlighen, not sure if precision is worth it after the nerf.) | |
" Good suggestions. Will edit some stuff later on tonight. I usually do merc lab with ~60 and thats a good point to switch. EB will solve any mana problems with no further investment since they changed recharging for es on mana when its not getting damaged. But I did not mention that anywhere. Will put it in QA I will update my pob with optimised tree as soon as localidentity updates pob Clawbased supp + carry guide https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2116480 Molten strike brightbeak nonsense guide https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2067539 Last edited by incredibie on Mar 11, 2020, 4:38:13 PM

interesting
im going to be watching this build and a righteous fire build closely before jumping into the league |
|
Hey...really cool lookin build. Do you have any plans to update or tweak it with Spellslinger??
|
|
" Thanks. I did just some testing in the new PoB. Spellslinger is something I might test in the future but I myself will most likely not play this very build this league since it was my starter last league. Might do some theorycrafting on it though. However I doubt spellslinger is good on the berserker variant Clawbased supp + carry guide
