[3.12] Hasunic's Toxic Rain / Caustic Arrow Trickster | Leaguestarter | Ailment Immunity | SSF

Since you put 3.10 tag already, what are you thoughts about tr / ca build vs delirium mechanic? Since it looks like another breach / beyond type of league do you think it will lag behind the typical "screen clear" builds?
No I don't think it will. I think it's gonna handle the content very nicely and you can easily fit the new jewels if you want to experiment. First at phase acro and later at CI when you get thread of hope to allocate phase acro.

The reason why I already put 3.10 is because I'm 90% sure that it will remain untouched in all ways

I was looking for a bow build next saison because I never play bow and I want to try Something new for the next season and this one looks really good with a great clear speed and seems OK against bosses. Looks like I could do everything in next league with this build (can you confirm that ???).

But I Don't get it when you should use caustic Arrow and when you should use Toxic rain ? I feel like we just use Toxic rain for everything xD

I can't Watch the video guide for the moment so maybe the answer is in it, but here I can't find my answer (Maybe I miss it :D).

I used tr until act 4 where I got 4link and a penetration arrow. Then I used CA for clear and tr for bosses.

Now in only using tr in maps atm because I lack a bit of extra projectiles/aoe in hardcore for CA to feel realy good.

But basicly

Tr: can stack more damage than CA, but is slower to ramp up.

CA very high initial damage and hits much faster, hence if the damage/Aoe is good it is superior in clear, but you cannot stack multiple dots on top of each other.

It's more of a feel question :)

Hi,
so I started really late into the league on SSF with this build, but after some lucky drops I moved to trade league to push this build further. There's still a lot of things to improve, I lack good regular jewels which provide tons of necessary stats.
This is my result so far:

Spoiler

It's hard to estimate the cost, because most of the gear I crafted on SSF before moving. The only items I bought on trade were both awakened gems, Belt, Watcher's Eye, and materials for chestpiece (previously used random 6L with tons of evasion).

Currently lvl 91, sitting on 4784 HP and 6174 ES. I skipped phase acro because with so much ehp and evasion rating it seems that it'd be a waste of 4 skill points. I work toward Aspect of the Eagle instead, and a minor nodes close to it.
As for the dps I'm not sure if my Pob configuration is good, but counting just power/frenzy charges it says Toxic Rain deal 148k dmg. Clear speed is amazing, it's really hard to die even if you really want to, cause ailment immunity. Did all shaper guardians, killed Shaper, Sirius a6 (working toward a8), red Elder, no Uber Elder yet because I don't have that much experience with him, but I quess i'll make an attempt today or tomorrow so I could share results with you guys.

Great build Hasunic, I really enjoy it and I'll absolutely start next league with it, hopefuly not as late as in this league, so i'd have a lot of time for experiments to see what's the limit.

EDIT: Quick update. Did Uber Elder a while ago, took me 5 portals.

Damn thats nice!

Multimod provides 40 resistance.. Do you think you can top that with two slams ?

I’m likely going to *need* to multimod res after replacing quiver and getting a hunter amulet (which I’ve yet to have drop, casual 40 fossils waiting to be dumped on it). I’ll need to look at potential influenced suffixes that can be hit. Another argument would be to prefixes cannot be changed, scour, and give up 2 quality on the divine to get more strength or int as well.

I should mention by the way that I very much like what you’ve done with the build. In my late league experimentation phase I “reset” my ssf league to give CA trickster a try. I initially built a pure life version similar to the Popular raider build, and while it was good I didn’t think it played to trickster’s strengths as much as could be abusable, and so started leaning more and more towards hybrid.

The shaper’s touch cyclopean ‘splash’ is actually subtle genius. It doesn’t take pure stat stacking to make the items servicable, and it’s an elegant solution to nullifying one of trickster’s biggest weaknesses (ailments).

The nightmare on SSF is actually the cleanest solution to stat balancing which is a karui jewel. Getting 60ish strength plus 2-3 reasonable other bonuses is very much worth a jewel slot in my eyes, and since we already have a high ehp pool we’re not as concerned with abusing kintsugi/winddancer as a raider may be.

I think the biggest departure I make is taking the piercing nodes on the tree. Particularly for legions and blighted maps I just find the qol on an additional two pierces too high, especially once you reach the point your dmg is high enough you can utilize an arrow nova support for speed clearing.

But thats the beautiful thing about this. So many minor adjustments and adaptations one can make. There are so many good nodes that are arguable and adjustable depending on what you care about. Freedom of movement for example is a node that some might find very appealing and others don’t even look at.

Looking at body armour suffixes. Almost every crusader mod is serviceable, and warlord has a few as well. Both likely resulting in recovery rate, increased strength/int, or resistances. As for crafted mods. Increased attributes, energy shield regen, or just flat resist are all options.
