Is the damage loss that significant when it's mainly used for map clearing?

3) Am I correct in assuming that multiple overlapping CA ground zones do not stack dot damage, unlike multiple overlapping TR pods (is that why TR is used for bossing?)? Also, how does one get the boss to stay in the dot zones, since they don't seem to be affected by TR's slow?


It's a difficult question to answer. Some people like one playstyle and some people like the other.

Caustic Arrow is just a good middle range skill and it quickly kills packs because it has instant 'semi-high' dps and larger AoE with a couple of extra projectiles.

That being said. If you have very good clear, the Toxin Rain will also instantly kill packs and with some increased AoE nodes + Dying Sun it almost clears your entire screen too, making the Toxic Rain clear very fast too, but with a small kill delay though.

Toxic Rain can achive very high single target damage because it simply has more multiplyers than caustic arrow (Attack + skill effect duration because it can stack the dots)

I like to get atleast 2 pierce, maybe more, with Arrow Nova.. Feels like it offscreen too.

Not rly, since it has "socketed gems are supported by arrow nova" stuff needs to be socketed in the bow, so no bow gem bonuses, it doesn't have double attack speed normal quill rain has, arrow nova is only worth for CA not TR and CA really needs some gem level bonuses to shine, not phys damage or w/e the replica has.
loving the build so far!

Question on cluster jewel crafting..been trying to craft wicked pall + another appropriate notable, but have only gotten wicked pall with some 2 other passives over 10-15 tries of alt/aug/regal spam. Am I doing something wrong?

They are very rare this is why expensive. Honestly? This build have insane clear speed and even good ST damage if u invest alot. For me better invest passives in Def instead of cluster.


This build is insane. Ty for sharing. I change few gems to my playstyle. Im like unkillable machine and today i was so so so Lucky when alchemy spam my neck

Hello! first of all thank you for the guide, i am relatively new the poe (played derilium and didnt really play harvest) and im really enjoy playing TR/CA but i am having way too many difficulties trying to understand the build because people link different stuff and use different gems in different places and all those information just mixed up in my head.. so for starters if you guys would help me with which / how to upgrade / change my gear that would be super helpful...
currently im struggling in t11-12 red maps and i have like 2-3 exalt budget to upgrade my stuff.

I'm just lost on the pob part. The wd no clusters has heart of oak where the life is Im unsure if I follow that 1.

The wd with 1 cluster and 2 have stuff that aren't even above acrobatics so I know its not that 1.

and the old school skill tree also has heart of oak I'm just unsure which one to use for the toxic rain trickster maybe my eyes are bad or I'm just to new to be able to keep up. The skill tree is pretty stressful to me but i'm loving the game so far your build has made me reach white maps fast! I also watched ur 3 hour speed run ..3 times. The old school one also doesn't match with the leveling pictures so I think its not that one?

I'm basically stuck on what to follow after the 91 points and which tree that you have to pick for 3.12 hopefully i'm making sense.
Does dying sun help at bosses? or it's only for mapping improvement?
btw using only TR.

If i don't pick Heart Of Oak, it's because there isn't enough points to go to the ranger start area compared to just picking life nodes elsewhere.

Just use the "WD, No Clusters" - It stands for WindDancer, No Clusters, and includes passives to level 92.

hmm.. It won't help much.. maybe it will add an extra arrow that hits now and then, but it's not reliable.

It's only for QoL while clearing with much bigger AoE.

We don't generate endurance charges. You can get a frenzy charge on hit chest, that generates them. I used that in many of the videos.

Otherwise you can get maloneys quiver with a frenzy inserted or craft minimum frenzy charges on rings

What do you think about alternate quality gems?

Anomalous Pierce Support lvl 20 - pierce 6 additional targets. (regular - 4)
Do we really need this "more projectile damage" from regular gem?
