[3.24] Frostbolt/Ice Nova Hierophant | 100m DPS | All Content

I'm a total noob and this is my first league. I have these items since level 36, and planning to replace only on level 68. Am i doing it right? Or is there any better alternative on what i got. Currently at level 50.

I have just witnessed the biggest bullshit in poe, got myself a 6L pledge finally and fucking wasted 800chromes trying to get 2g 4b , what in the FUCK is this. I still don't have 2g 4b btw. Vorici calc said 121chromes, yeah RIGHT. I'm so gonna vorici 3w that shit.

the build itself looks nice, but you wont get any near 7-8k ES if you dont get a decent watchers eye (they cost 25ex+ btw).

i do not recommend the manastacking hiero. if you need that to get rollin.
its a bit sad, but its pretty hard to get going with little invest.

Is there any benefit to have the armour 6linked with the recomended setup ?
(Cold snap - bonechill - unbound ailments - faster casting - arctic armour - increased duration)

Or is it enough with 5link if the artic armour dosent benefit from the other gems ?

That's very unlucky, the average being 160. You still can use 1G5B (Ice nova - Cold Pen - Intensify - Controlled destruction - Concentrated effect - Spell echo) or even 1G1R4B (swap controlled destruction for inspiration)

So I can confirm both Elder and Shaper are a joke, I thought Shaper would be a bit tougher with 4x life but the fight was still pretty short. Also finally had the opportunity to do the awakener at lvl 8 (previous kills was at lvl 1 and lvl 4), went deathless like my two other kills and I didn't notice a huge difference in life either. Still have UE to do which should be more annoying than the Awakener because of their new life pool + the degens that may stack if it last too long. Will see later.

I leveled this build using it's skills, and it was the easiest leveling that I've ever had.

You can use frost bolt as soon as you get it, since it pierces it's got decent clear/aoe.

Load up the budget build and search for cast speed. Rush to every single one you can get. I got MoM early since it adds tankiness and your mana regen is find thanks to clarity.

Take holy flame totem to help you with bosses/tanky people at the start. Get ice nova and level it up, but don't really bother using it until you get lmp, then you can start using strictly lesser multiple projectiles and ice nova. Get spell echo as soon as you can, and everything is a breeze since then.

Priority is cast speed of gear, and then spell damage/resist/life.

Once you get lmp + spell echo, then ice nova + frost bolt wrecks hard, easy boss shredding. Prioritize a 4 link for ice nova as fast as you can, frostbolt really only needs frostbolt+lmp+arcane surge (Make sure to not level up arcane surge for frost bolt)

The last boss was my first death, because I was way under resed/geared, but he was still simple to kill, easier than when I was leveling with stuff like sunder in the past.

The important thing is to just understand the mechanics of this build. Forstbolt with lmp/gmp lets your ice nova shotgun. With spell echo, you'll have an icenova hitting twice with every cast, and you can stack multiple ice nova's on your frost bolts. So you launch a frostbolt from range, and then spamm ice nova for as long as you can. Against bosses, I cast, move, and then spam so I don't get hit.

Why are you going for 2 green? You don't need 2 green gems.

In the old build, You needed just one green (Hypothermia)

In the new build you need one green and one red (Cold Pen + Inspiration)

I mean I've invested about an ex total, and I have gotten into t12 t13s with zero problems.

Saving for a 6 link pledge right now. The watchers eye will be expensive because of the lack of shaper/ elder but the build itself is still very very viable.

Its also super fun. One of the favorite builds I've ever played.

There are a lot of ways to make it good and the budget version is perfectly fine.

Delve, maps, metas, all going well.

Atrizi is a pita, but doable. Uber atrizi would be hard, but still likely doable.

huh??

no ones trying to get 7-8k ES with this. And Hiero with MOM is actually very good.

I just did a juicy, dangerous corrupted t15 with 130% quantity, Metamorph included...basically walked all over it.
