Path of exile 2 will be released for ps4 ?!?!?
I am thinking of purchasing a console (ps4) to play POE 2 but I am still not sure if the path to exile 2 will have any information on ps4?

" I hope so but we dont know this yet. I wouldnt be surprised if they cancel the console version next year. Poe is on ps4 since march and on xbox for two years now and the game is still in a rather poor state. |

And all content from the Exilecon I watched in the hope hearing anything regarding the console state, was lacking the word console. Seems they totally forgot about it, or ignored it on purpose, as they are probably to ashamed. I would really prefer some concrete statement, like we are sorry, we know all you guys spent a lot of money supporting the console version, we give you like 50% of the bought points on pc platform and shutdown the consoles for good, or we are going to fix things, but keeping the people in the dark and still taking money is really a rip off. I mean its called supporter packs, but what are we actually supporting? I know we are getting the content updates, but at what quality? But ok I havent spend any money on console, since release and I wont. Lets see next league if I can stand the overall game condition for longer than reaching endgame.
Just so sad, for such a great game and genre. Seems we really have to wait for blizzard to have learned from the d3 misstake and throw another piece of art at us. At least they know how to make a game that doesnt crash every few minutes after years.
" Or you could just stop whining like an infant pretending the game isn't in a good enough place so you can throw yourself a pity party. Every bit of content in the game is playable, it crashes about a hundredth of as much as people pretend it does, and it is constantly improving. It's way more important that they focus on improving the game itself before putting everybody on ironing out the small amount of console problems. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

For POE, I suggest that you get the Pro + SSD Drive + Hard Wire connection. If you are in no rush, and have the cash, I would further suggest waiting for the next generation Box. As an example, Blight is not going directly to Core on Console because of performance issues.
Judging from the forums, some people's experience is just fine on the regular PS4 - but it does seem to be a bit of a crap shoot. My standard advice regarding whether to play on PC or Console is that you really should have a reason to play on Console. The experience is a little rougher on Console and if you really do not have a reason to be on Console, you may have some regrets. It is also my observation that GGG treats the Console version as an extension of the PC version, rather than a separate game (my current phrase is "treated as a Colony of PC"). Console does not get a full spectrum of Console specific announcements for example. In retrospect, it does not surprise me that Console got so little mention (none?) at Xcon - most of the Console work probably comes after stuff gets sorted out on PC. I was not there, but I would be surprised if there were Console demos of up coming Content. With the new Mobile version actually being a separate game, this feeling of being second-class may deepen for some (as Mobile may get the full spectrum treatment). I am happy-ish on Console. My grumbling does not come from the game being unplayable (there are moments however), but rather because it seems so clear to me that the experience could be improved so much. " Ble ble ble. The game is at least not in a condition I and many others can enjoy it. I am all up for them to stop deploying every 3 months content patches and first fix and stabilize the game. Also they made many promises 2 years back, that they didnt keep and just went silent about it. This is what I hate and complain about. About the hardware, yeah, I bought an Xbox One X and a PS4 pro just for poe on console. I dont play anything else, so right now my consoles are just collecting dust. And I also have external ssds and use a wired fiber connection a decent ping to the servers. I have to say the game runs much better on the XBox One X than on the PS4 pro, but xbox went kinda dead a long time ago and as I am more for a game with a healthy economy, I rather play on ps4. Loading times x1x with ssd is so much faster than ps4, but ok those things, are not their fault. BUt yeah if you buy a car, where they promise in one year it will also be able to fly and this is the only reason you bought it for, and they dont deliver in the real world its called a scam. In game industry we have those clowns saying, hey be happy it can drive or you are an infant. How mature. Like their argument while chat is not in the game: The guy working on it left the company, now noone knows how todo it. Its like guys, Tesla Model 3 is coming without windows, the guy designing them, left 6 months ago... And I am not constantly crying, I just come back every 2-3 months, see oh last console announcement is still about the blight release on xbox one, like 3 months ago, what a pity, still not someone addressing their community. They should have sold to blizzard not tencent.
Thanks for the comments! I sincerely have friends who played poe on ps4 slim and had amazing results so i'm not concerned with performance (or slightly higher loadings) game on a "potato pc" and anything on top of that for me will be incredible progress (hahahahahah) .
I'm more thoughtful how far I can play on my future console (ps4). I still hope to see POE 2 on ps4! Last edited by liliana666666 on Dec 8, 2019, 6:23:29 PM

" I'd actually say just wait for a PS5 and get it instead. Clearly PoE 2 is not going to be out in 2020, and maybe out in 2021. The PS5 would be out by then and it will definitely have backwards compatibility with the PS4. |

" Are you so blindly loyal to GGG that you’re willing to pretend that crashing once an hour unless you mute the sound effects is “a good place”? Nevermind the countless other bugs that get reported yet are unresolved. Nevermind that the frame rate drops to 1 frame every 2-3 seconds during large packs of bloodline, harbinger, abyss, breach, or legion mobs — let alone deep delve? You’d have to not play the game beyond act 10 or not play on console at all to believe a single word of your post. Oh, and in 5 days, console will be MISSING content found in the PC version — which is not acceptable considering the reasoning is “performance issues” yet legion went core and lags just as bad. As for the topic itself, does it really matter if POE2 comes to console? If it does, it will still be in the same sad state it is currently. Maybe there’s hope for next gen consoles, but there’s no reason why the game performs as poorly as it does on current gen consoles when a PC with half the specs runs better. |

I play solely on PS4 now due to a wrist injury not letting me play with a mouse for long periods anymore and there are a lot of problems with the PS4 version not just including the crashes (which i have cut to nearly zero by turning of sounds)
My main issue with ps4 POE is the desync, cant really play any skill that requires a movement skill to work as 1 out of 20 uses of that skill will desync (ruberband) you back and you will most likely die. I really wanted to play cyclone last league its one of my best memories from POE on pc back in the day but the desync ruined it for me. However saying all that if you watched exilecon when they were talking about poe on mobile they also mentioned how getting the game to run on a mobile has helped them develop the game to run smoother on other platforms. So i would expect some sort of update to the smoothness on console either around the time mobile launches or before then. PS5 will also launch before poe2 that system should manage POE much easier. |
