Do you know any fun, short and cheap games (under 10$ on steam) i can play while waiting?

Nova Drift is currently 25% off, and might be under $10 for you depending on what your local currency is. It's a single-screen shooter with a deep upgrade system that's based partially on PoE - if you like making weird builds through combining a range of varied bonuses, Nova Drift distils that experience down to a short playtime-per-run that lends itself well to replayability. I've played minion builds, CI-equivalent builds, glass cannons, tanks, and weirder combinations, and I'm not even close to fully exploring the possibilities.

They should hire you as an advertiser... I'm buying it now....

Me too, thanks for the tip Mark. Although it is not under $10 on my steam.. it's $10.67 !

If you are fine using dosbox, virtual harddrives or similar then there are a lot of good free games that should have been world famous. They are oldies, but very very goodies:

- Chaos Overlords - board game style with great tactical depth, and it's a lot of fun to learn.

- Four crystals of trazere - A puzzle solving dungeon crawler with a party of 4 that levels up as you go. Perfect level of difficulty, nice progression, fun combat. The spell casting is a particularly good system.

- Mordor 2 - Darkness awakening. A dungeon crawler that just got everything right

- Civilisation I, II, III - Yes, that game is very famous, but the early versions are free and in some ways better than the latest versions.

- Warlords series - A turn based strategy series that again, just gets everything right. They also made a few RTS style sequels that are very good as well.

- Heroes of Might and Magic series - A huge cohort of people agree that this is one of the best turn based games ever made.

Galactic civilisations - a turn based space game that has incredible just one more turn properties.

Sins of a solar empire - a space based RTS - build a fleet, control resources.
Dig or Die, 2D base builder/defense game. I've been playing with a friend and having a blast, completely worth the $8 steam sale.
Big thumbs up for Nova Drift. Can't get enough of that game. Been playing non stop since I bought it a month or two ago.

Gets lots of great updates and the dev is very active on Discord and reddit.

I don't even like top down shooters particularly, but it is is such an addictive experience.

Older games bester games.

--Go finish Undertale if you haven't yet
--Civ III and Civ V are still amazing and fun if your mates don't hold grudges
--Age of Empires III zerg Otto rush still fun
--Destiny 2, where all my friends are still ignoring me while playing it.
--My carry for blights is a big fan of Terraria and 7 Days to Die

Tv series to catch up on

--Letterkenny
--The Good Place
--Stranger Things if you haven't watched them to death already
[19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game
I'm going to have to suggest: It Lurks Below

It costs a bit more than $10 but it was made by the legendary David Brevik (the creator of Diablo) and yes, it's on Steam.

Ah I see it's on the 'wild metamorphosis update' >.>

mmmmhmm

I suggest Realm of the Mad God if you haven't already played it. There isn't much depth, the looting is still nice though. If you like bullet hell and basic RPGs you'll definitely enjoy it.

It's a F2P, I'm sure 10$ would be enough to get set up though. I haven't spent a cent and still enjoy it a ton. You're just limited to only stashing gear for your next guy. (It's permadeath, I forgot to mention that)
