Standard and POE2
So, just for clarification. Old characters will transfer to new POE2? Can I transfer gear between POE1 and POE2 characters?
Because I am more or less Standard player and collectioner. Last bumped on Nov 19, 2019, 4:18:53 AM

Disclaimer - I could be entirely wrong.
What I've seen from other posts and updated info people have compiled from Exilecon, POE1 and POE2 characters and inventories will be separate from one another. |

You will not lose anything. All your items, your mtx, your old chars, everything will transfer to the new poe game. Poe2 is only an alternate campaign to level in. Poe1 will still get any and all new mechanics, the new graphic changes, new uniques, new items, new endgame etc.
Now, some stuff will go away by virtue of being useless in the game (such as fusing orbs) and they will work out how to remove them from standard players. ~Myth |

Not sure if characters will be able to do campaign 2 if they are already in maps.. but the stash should be shared between both since both campaigns eventually merge at maps.
Honestly, I would like the shared stash to be disabled until you complete the 2nd campaign once :P. "Don't Tread on Me" Last edited by jables#2975 on Nov 18, 2019, 1:29:14 PM

" What??? lol. All the opposite. PoE 1 (10 acts campaign we currently play) and PoE 2 (7 acts campaign we will be able to play when 4.0.0 is released late next year) will connect on the end game. So they will all be together. Poe 1 and Poe 2 are still the same game, just two campaigns. |

The "sequel" talk is 100% marketing. It is really another expansion and will work in the same way all previous expansions have worked.

i wont be loosing anything.. only thing that is kinda so-so is the way how they are going to deal with 6-links.. are they gonna convert main gems in those into 6-link gems?
is it possible to cheese this and get 6x6-link gems by socketing only main gems? time will tell :) d:-D*

Curious what they do with 6L chests, white socket gear, mirrored gear, corrupted gear, all the gg shit that people spent thousands of exalts on to create.
They could take the primary skill gem and give it the gem link # and socket color treatment by porting it from the chest. That seems really silly though because all the time and effort went into the armor piece and not just any one skill gem. And the preservation of "items" (especially legacy) we know is certainly important to GGG based on their card game methodology so it will be interesting to see how they handle this transition. Now what they could also do is keep the 6L chest for example and deduct one 6L skill set from the 8/total that the character can have so now instead of 4 6Ls(?) a char can equip, you would be down to 3 + the chest piece that can be the 6L. I think that would actually work. This would also preserve all the "supported by" skills on gear. The same approach would work for all the other 4L and 3L gear that's either corrupted or mirrored or something. All the other shit like turning fusings into jewelers is trivial and a non-issue. ✰CARD✰ The Survivalist
I can’t buy any more big supporter packs because the forum only supports showing 7 legacy tags. |
