How is this unethical, exactly?
GGG is partnered with twitch, they decide it's a cool idea to give out free mtx during the announcement livestream, they go for it. They are under no obligation to enable twitch drops for restreams and i hihgly, severely doubt any streamer who'll be doing a restream actually thought that this wasn't the case.
Also, in your browser, you can keep more than one tab open. For example, you can open an official stream, mute it, and then open your favorite streamer's stream and listen to their reaction.

And so, i ask again. In what way, exactly, is giving the players free mtx unethical? Genuinely looking forward to your response.

Giving carrots to attract players :
- Reduces potential viewers on popular PoEs streams who would want to re-stream the event
- Gives an advantage to players in the same timezone over others.
- Will buff the viewer count while many viewers will be afk, like adding bots and you can be sure that they will brag about how popular the event was with it.

Yes, you can keep more than one tab open if you're not watching from a cellphone/tablet if your connection can handle it, you mute one channel and then enjoy having twice the bandwith used. It's not a problem for all, might not be a problem for most, but if you end up watching 2 streams at the same time, one that you did not want to watch being muted, can you say that there is no problem anywhere without being embarassed at all ?

It's just a cheap and superficial marketing move tbh.
GGG should probably do this, it's going to be beneficial to them, but it's again adding carrots on sticks ...

demon9675 did put it nicely there.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Human instinct is to seek rewards, it makes us feel good by feeding dopamine to the brain. I get what you're saying but you're really talking about a core "problem" in our society (and species) as a whole and PoE is not where it began or will end.

That is one way to try and get people to watch it, just sad most people stopped playing "the game designed to be played forever" after a couple of weeks after Blight League was launched.
I have 2 people who play poe on the same ip. So, when both of you see can get both awards? Or just 1 account 1 ip
Dope! Thank you and good luck at ExileCon!
Thank you so much GG !!! hypetrain coming tshoo tshoo :D
