[3.11] Bashtart's HERALD OF PURITY GUARDIAN: cheap starter & endgame boss farmer with insane dps!

I was messing around with POB and the new notable Rotten Claws combined with Dread Banner and Impale give our minions 80% chance to impale which is pretty lit. Impale becomes an effective ~70% multiplier for our damage which seems to more than make up for the feeding frenzy loss, no? This is without even considering that we will have six bad boys this league.

Or more if you manage to get Pure Agony multiple times. And yea, even without Rotten Claws Impale+Dread Banner beats every other support gem. And 6L HOP, Dread banner, Pride and Flesh and Stone+Maim is an easy fit onto our mana. Even without an Enlighten.

Trying to get to outer jewel sockets did make my planned tree a bit weird though:

Also have enough passives left to allocate the passives from the jewels. But always open for improvements or stuff I might have missed.

Looks good but you will not really have many points left for the cluster jewels :)

I try to rework the guide today and will probably add Impale to the guide as well. Unfortunately I have to work all day :(

Awesome build friend, really digging it so far :D Its now the choice between lacerate or HoP starter (Why you have to make the choice a tough one xD)

I just wanted to ask: What end-game alternative would we be able to use instead of self casting Vulnerability? Would we need to get lucky on corrupting it on a pair of gloves or save up for it on the rings?

Yeah corrupted gloves is probably the best option.

Thats why I love cyclone.
You can link it with fortify+curse and you have them up all the time.

At 3.9 I used cyclone to poc
holy relics
2 curses (1 more from body armor)
fortify
culling strike (huge quality of life as it works with all bosses including shaper and sirus)
6 links well worth it

Now I am trying to find a detailed leveling guide. Not for this build exactly but something that can be used for the first 20-30 levels.

Yeah cyclone is cool but the base damage of cold iron point daggers is low. So it is hard to kill enemies with cyclone and spawn your Sentinels.

Thanks for the update! I started with this build in 3.9 and was quite happy with it. I am considering starting with it again, but one thing I have noticed in Standard is the Cold Iron Point daggers are spiking in price. I assume it's due to the new/revamped physical spells in 3.10. Poe Ninja has them at 70c (up 286%) but that isn't accurate.. they are well over an exalt now. I actually sold one last night for 2ex. I realize that is standard, but that kind of new demand for these can and probably will translate to the new league/economy as well.

So, is there some concern about the price of these in the first several days of Delirium? They were quite cheap in Metamorph but that could be an issue this time. Since I was able to get them in Metamorph, I'm not sure how good the dps is with rares or what other options there are.
