if we install Vaal MS then you should remove BoneB from the Assend, the skills have the same CD !? That means chose Misstres and commander, right?

Thanks for the video. It's just not realistic comparison because right now people are trying to figure out how to address the current league mechanics. You bring that build you have in the video right now into delirium and you would get absolutely shredded. It's not really a problem with the build but rather a compound problem as a result of super high damage in Delirium encounters, non-visible enemy on death mechanics, lack of visibility, and the over-zealous nerfing of this build and it's items.

Peruse through some of the comments in the thread below. Note the almost unanimous tone of the people commenting.

Yes, that's the point. I think everyone should be running with Vaal Molten Shell. It's a fantastic defence against all damage.


Do you also recommend not using Bone Armor anymore then?

I like your build and played it in 3.9, but I don t see myself playing it in delirium. As the post you quoted mention, there is too much damage coming from on death effects in delirium encounter, meaning you need to constantly be moving amongst tanky monsters, if you stop or backtrack you ll be hit by on death effects and die 90 % of the time. Monsters in delirium encounter get increasingly tankier, even in white maps, compared to the map they are in, so it isn t a safe assumption they d just depop like in the other content.

That s why I went for a spectre build this league, running shield charge, devouring helmet, MoM and eldritch battery instead of strictly stacking str with a 2 handed weapon.

Also I d be afraid to run animated guardian in delirium, due to how often something can go wrong and minions can die in the encounters.

It's still good enough to clear end game?
Another shadow nerf I've discovered is they removed two handed weapons ability to get 111-130% minion dmg since it was only from fossils, and bound fossils are only good for influencing convoking wands now (learned this the hard way crafting my bow).

Pretty much every other delve exclusive mod got added somewhere else or is available from multiple sources, but they just axed the top tier minion dmg.

When will it end!

Not sure if bow skill gems is considered an attack mod or not, so we will see if its a 1/3 chance or 100% chance to beastcraft in +1 socketed gems. Only way I guess I'll know for sure is if it fails cus I could have just got lucky if it worked.

No. You keep bone armor. You use only Vaal molten shell, not the normal version. Bone armor gives way more absorb than molten shell, without investing heavily into armor.

Vaal skills don't share CD's with other skills.

Bone armor is a lifesaver for damage spikes or if you need to run over ground degen.
If i run maps i mostly use bone armor, then withering step and use a quicksilver and let my minions do the rest. Bone armor on Cooldown and vaal molten shell on bosses together with vaal haste.

Is there any cheap way to do this. I've looked into crafting one but it all seems very costly. And when i look at poe DB the % damage mod i see all your 2 hand weapons seems to be only from delve.

In his current state...i would say yes. I play standard, so i have a legacy baron but i stopped going for more than 1k strength. Means i have the same amount of zombies as league baron (12) and playing without shapers touch.

You need to shift some points around into more defense layers or more life.
It's expensive to get 1000 strength, best was to obtain are boots and rings. After 1k strength go for life and defense for your AG.

If you get really really lucky you could find a elegant hubris with 80%+ minion damage and can respecc more points into defensive. (Thats my goal in standard right now)

For spectres i go for Host/Carnage chieftain, the protection bubble guy and a vulnerability witchspawn. I have them linked to AG+Feeding frenzy+Chaos golem in my baron. You can remove feeding frenzy and use minion life for your AG, but i hadn't trouble of him dipping low on life against bosses (Sirus is something else, but i think he is bugged atm)

You can even go for more defense oriented spectres since blood magic is removed, meaning you don't have frenzy charges all the time.

So what gem do we give up in order to make room for Vaal MS?
Currently, I've switched from bone barrier to commander of darkness. Is bone barrier still better lategame or are they now equally strong defensively?
