"Ethical Lootboxes" btw.

Basically took the most predatory aspect of their loot box system, getting tons of useless duplicates, and then double downed on it so you delete all those duplicates in the hopes you won't just get another duplicate of another box you already have.

Know what system is actually fair and actually ethical for both the players and the developers? Letting players cash in their duplicates directly for the items they want. It doesn't have to be 1:1, you can easily set the ratio to be where you want. GGG normally charges 100-130 points for a helmet, make people trade in microtransactions 30 points per trade in. This is what they would have paid if they had directly paid money for the item. GGG still gets their money they would have charged to buy the item directly. Players still get the items they want without useless duplicates. Everyone wins.

The only reason to keep the current system is because you know there are people who are incapable of controlling themselves and you make lots of money off of them. I don't say this to be rude or mean, it's just a fact of the matter. If the argument is your business can't survive without the income preying upon those people, you shouldn't have made statements like ethical loot boxes or alluded to trying to be the good guy.

Just make a free one where you can RIP 2 MTX for a new one. You could still weight the values so it's reasonable.

Takes a very large amount of dupes to "max" roll a new chest, that max is 87% chance of a rare, 13% chance of a combined rare. Got rid of 24 dupes which was cool, and got Automaton chest + Faith Guard wings. Overall takes far too many and should have been a 1 time purchase, not a base loot box price per attempt at reshuffling a severely large amount of items.

this is just ... a sad move........
