Hello, I've been having a blast with this build up until now, as my character right now does not seem to be as tanky as it should be. I'm a bit confused on why, as I'm dying to packs in t11 maps, and for earlier maps I've had to just cyclone around some bosses as if I stood still and attempted to facetank they would easily kill me. I've made a synthesised 18% int belt with enchantments, got the boots w/ anointment, got decent rings and astramentis for now with the other anointment, and bought a nice pair of gloves, but I can't afford good a good helmet or chest, so I've just been using icetomb and doedre's scorn. Is it the helmet and chest that is the key for tankiness, or something else entirely? If it is the helm and chest, are there any cheaper alternatives to the crafted ones in the guide?

Yes, chest and helmet are the main source of high Energy shield.
You dont need a perfect one, just try to get a chest with 650+ ES and int...
for the helmet the same, try high ES with int

take a look on my chest...


has no %int, but give lots of ES and damage reduction... way cheaper then a %int one

The key for survival is a large ES pool, that has 2 goals, prevent one shots, and increase the leech/sec.

Sometimes you can aloc all ES leech nodes/mastery and use a watcher's eye with increase Energy shield recovery rate while affected by disciplin.

If you have enought ES to avoid been one shot, you will be able to leech all the ES fast enought to be unkilable.

My char has around 16k ES, and the leech rate is around 6k ES/sec.

In sumary, ES is the Key. I played many leagues with this build before i realize that ES comes first, INT later. Because you cant kill, if you are dead!

Just start a scion version and already have a question.
What is the BEST damage gems setup? Why?
Is it super op to use cold to fire with trinity?
Do i have no reason to drop cold to fire gem to something other (like cold pen or arcane surge)?
