new pvp dmg scaling

The formula for calculating damage in PvP has changed. It is now: ((Damage/(Time*90))^0.57)*90*Time for Physical and Chaos damage, and ((Damage/(Time*150))^0.55)*150*Time for Elemental damage. The net result of this change is that low damage hits will see virtually no change, while extremely high damage hits will see a reduction of about 30%.


so is 1 shotting dead or nah?

When you get simultaneously hit by 7 tornado shot projectiles or 3 overlaaped LA chains at max range that is still technically oneshotting.
The same for 50ish stacked VDs, the same for a pack of MI minions etc.

so 1 shotting is still a thing nice.
in league will need very expensive gear or Minions.

Ball Lightning, that thing got 0.8 from new formula, 1.25 from + 1 seal, 0.8 from additional penalty and 0.6 from Unleash.
So, it's about 48% of current damage.

Isint less pvp damage for bl is 40% now?

And when we talk pvp bl we talk sire of shards and trapper, which means:

40% less damage bl
40% less damage sire of shards
10% less damage trap support

Thats 90% less damage to player so i dont think that bl need to be calculated with the new pvp damage scale as it is already dead now.

Plus the new scale of trap/mine throwing speed makes it more dead.

Current BL penalty is 25%, upcoming patch changing it to 40%
(100 - 40) / (100 - 25) = 0.8
Bl getting 0.8 multiplier in comparison with current damage.

"Less" modifiers are multiplicative, so 40% less and 40% less is actually 0.6 * 0.6 not 0.2

As probably everyone noticed BL works just fine with traps, I assume it will work the same way with the new mines mechanics.
