I was so freaking hyped about playing a zombie build as my main, how are you compensating the nerf? How can you make zombies useful with this change?


Case-in-point: I won't be.

Their basic attack damage is atrocious and I won't be building around it. After the 76% cooldown at level 20 is calculated in to the mix, their Slam cooldown is 3.8 seconds? That's a huge nerf compared to the 1.25s cooldown you can bring their Slam to in the current meta. Not only that, but you are losing the huge amount of Slam damage increase you can give to them via the Ascendency and the Violent Dead jewels. In addition, their AoE radius is not stated to be baked in to the gem either.

Slam is the only reason to build Zombies as a damage-dealer. It never misses, and even accounting the slow animation speed with the nerfed Multistrike jewel, it's still their best option for dealing damage. I cannot possibly see how Zombies are recoverable without making them the highest 200k health meatshields that you can, and consequently detonating them on enemies. I refuse to play them unless that crap in the notes is reversed.

It's abhorable that they would give such blatantly strong buffs to Skeletons and Spectres, and yet nerf Zombies as a damage-dealer so heavily in favor of making them nothing but a sponge.

Mana Leech Support
Now only causes supported Attacks to leech mana.

Why not just remove it from the game? :D

And yes, you've gutted the zombiemancer archetype, or so it would seem. Great job.

Overall, yeah i'm hyped but some of the design changes are...puzzling, to say the least.

This is a buff.

What are you talking about? Spectres can easily be raised to summon up to level... 94? 95 Spectres? The flat increase of raw stats alone is a large buff to Spectres.
