Elusive initially grants 20% chance to Dodge Spell OR Attack hits,

Whoa, good catch. That does seem odd.

Mistwalker is stupidly awesome. How long does elusive last?

if you watch the new video of the assassin skills you will see elusive buff. it gets upwards of 148% at one point, and will drop down to about 75% but it gets refreshed by something.
in total it stays up for 12 seconds and only ends because he ran out of mobs. completely refreshed as soon as another mob came about. looks like it'll be up basically all the time for assassin.

some of the buffs diminish in effect with its duration, but some don't, like what is provided with mistwalker. so yeah assassin is going to be very fucking good

edit: upon further review, looks like it goes to 125% per normal assassin crit and stuff, from mistwalker, but goes to 148% due to the cat eyes skill, Withering Step

This style of class specific buff is a bit of a slap to the face for raider who is all about movespeed and dodge. I just hope elusive and blitz isnt something you can trivially get on jewels/uniques/passives 2 leagues from now.

My guess is it provides both, but a hit can't be an attack and spell at the same time afaik. Using And would be far clearer though, and I guess there's always a chance GGG is doing something funky with it like it rolls one of two random buffs where you either get attack or spell dodge, but that just feels so unlikely.

well you can utilize it with raider as well with the nightblade support as long as you're claw or dagger build. otherwise, ya its pretty bonkers and raider gets shafted in comparison
Assassin Versus Raider:-

Assassin gets 25% attack and spell dodge from Elusive, Raider just 10% (unless she runs Nightblade, in which case fine, 30).

Also Assassin aka the glass cannon ascendancy now has 8% global damage reduction, while Raider has just her pathetic 'Enemies have 15% Less Accuracy Rating' (both high evasion and lower enemy accuracy don't affect spells).

He even gets upto 84% movement speed and 20% attack (and cast as well!) speed. And he can still get uber-Onslaught from Daresso's Defiance. And they say Raider is supposed to be all about speed...

Raider gets +1 Frenzy, Assassin gets +1 Power. Raider boosts Frenzy, Assassin boosts Power.

And, of course, if you want to do anything with poison, he (or Pathfinder) is your guy. Raider has no special focus. In fact Assassin can do spells well too, Raider not so much.

As for Exposure, it's easy to get from skills like Frostbomb, Scorching Ray and Wave of Conviction - and that last one can even be used to provide two exposures at once. And of course damage - do you really need ask if the Assassin has damage?!

About the only thing Raider has which Assassin doesn't is elemental ailment immunity and a nice evasion boost. But guess what Assassin has which Raider doesn't? Reflect immunity! (only from crits, but who makes an Assassin and doesn't go crit, or dots?) Oh, and also taking no Extra Damage from Crits, just cos!

So why choose Raider, hmm?

Raider has 40% Elemental Damage, free 15% elemental exposure and can easyly cap Evasion, making it a really good choice for (Voidforge)-Elementalbuilds.

Assassin with the new skills looks dope though.

Mistwalker seems incredibly op tbh
Damn 2/ 8/ 12/ 14 for easy poison ass.

Wonder if Elusive gets bonuses from tree like Fortify.

If 15% exposure and 40% elemental make you think the class is good for voidforge then elementalist must be godlike for it right?
