Am I the only one who finds the perpetuated negative comments on this thread appalling? Someone even dared to allege (again) that because I did not ever find a particular fossil before asking about it, that I was indeed a liar. Moreover, he literally said "shame on you" .

Again, this is the problem. Please stop misconstruing my points. The point is not that I was offended by how ridiculously rancorously I was treated. The point-- please get it through your heads abd stop talking about anything else and continuing to insult me and allege falsehoods against me based on your presumptions--is that there is far too much toxicity within this community, particularly in global chat. My thread was called "garbage" by someone on the previous page. But you know what? Your opinion is garbage because it is exactly what exemplifies the problem I am addressing. How uncivil, how rudely presumptuous, how unsynpathetic, how callous. You call my post garbage while entirely dismissing the horrendous behavior of other players. It is an absurdity for you to come here just to degrade my thread based on your unwillingness to believe what I've said.

To everyone who continues ignoring my point, and to those who have replied by advising me on what I should do to avoid mistreatment (in essence, telling me I should ignore the global problem and be apathetic towards it), and to those who have even been so brazen as to criticize me as if I was at fault or a troll posting a fake story: Your attitudes are corrosive, toxic, and destructive against all human decency and morality.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I can in no way accept a corrupted definition of morality that involves verbally mistreating others. It is entirely illogical, irrational to argue that truth is subjective. No, truth is objective and not relative. And the truth of our humanity is defined by compassion, otherwise our existence would cease. To deny this, and to demonstrate antithetical behavior and publicly endorse it by postibg here to insult me and criticize me and make baseless accusations is substantial proof of a grave issue that needs to be seriously addressed by this company. And so long as I carry this passion for this topic and this game, I will continue campaigning for reform of t
GGGs enforcement of their player conduct policies.

This thread will remain alive until a GM closes it, but I will continue posting here to raise awareness until that happens.

Just to clarify: Are you comparing Global Chat in a computer game to employment in a company? I'm seeing things in your post about "your boss" and telling them to go F themselves etc.

The internet inspires the worst of people unfortunately. Such language should not be tolerated but this is not the first neither would it be the last. I have received IRL threats to this game due to my delve "Exploits". I simply ignore them and send in a report for harassment. Whether or not action is taken is not relevant as I do not have the time nor energy to waste on such people.

I think it is necessary to say something against this behaviour. Did the OP do a good job? Nope, i totally get your point that the approach was ... suboptimal. But it doesn't change the fact that this type of behaviour IS toxic. It is NOT the whole community. Not every global chat. But this happens a lot. Alongside homphobic, xenophobic and what not behaviour. Turn global off? Already did. Does not change the fact that this behaviour hurts the game, the community and the newbies that keep POE going. Do we agree about this at least?

Look at games with a good community. With nice, helpful people. With a culture of discussion and dispute that still allows everyone to exist there unhurt and sane. That does not hurt the games, does it? I wish for something like this in POE also. Because there is no argument for toxic, inhuman and degrading behaviour at all.

I do not agree with some of the people here. All this "snowflake" edgyness is painful to read for me. But still i would not call the user who used this word a bastard, motherfucker or anything else. That's not what i want. Because it is mean. May sound "snowflaky", but i mean it: it is okay to discuss, dispute, even get heated. Especially when we install a culture where you can say sorry afterwards and the general atmosphere is positive and rewards grown up, respectful interactions. But there is no need in a fucking GAME to hurt people for asking questions, having different views, skin colors or religious beliefs.
