Where's Lockstep mode?

Where's lockstep mode for consoles/ps4? My friend is in maps and is desyncing like crazy but there is no option for lockstep mode. His internet is fine and POE on desktop never desyncs. When will consoles get lockstep, why don't they have it yet?

Console doesn't have it yet because....... hardcore trolling. I assume. But with good reason. Buttons are buttons, no matter the shape.

wtf youre talking about, there is a lockstep mode already, at least on Xbox which is fucked, because when you have a poor connection, game looks like slide show.

There isn't lockstep though. It's a dumb hybrid semi-predictive lockstep. There's no desync with actual lockstep.
