Are Mines being turned into a support skill now?

Gotcha.
Even if it will be global, do you think some guy with TS build will throw 20 mines just take kill that boss 1 second faster (since map bosses die in couple seconds anyway).
We already have plenty of shit to click that give us extra damage and people are not bothered to use them.
They can make it global, it wont change anything. If you are palying in party with support, you already have so much damage you wont even notice it.
you picked one of the worst builds for that xD


i play ts aswell and i have simly no Skill left in my Skillbar

Move / Blood / TS
Blink / Phase / banner / Vaal Haste / Grace



and even if i have more skill bars... i dont get more Gem SOckets and Trust me 45% more dps is not smoething i care at this point lol
Depend on the T16 Boss i can clean it in 1-10 Sec depend on phases ...

Personally I dont care.

Remember that it also takes time to throw 15 mines. Especially on build that isn't miner. If its 45% more damage (let's pretend its 50% to make it simplier) this means you have to damage boss at least for twice the time it takes to throw mines just to get even.

Please also remember that mines reserve mana now so you would be forced to disable at least one aura to get 45% more dmg effect (This means time to get even with damage is much much longer than 2x throwing time).


Another thing to consider is how big area of aura really is.
The only boss i can consider worth time of throwing mines is Uber Elder.
However at the same time it moves a lot so it's not like you will benefit a lot from this aura.

It's "global" but only in some radius from the mines.

Also, mines can still be destroyed. With Clever Construction you get a 5-second window before any aoe attack will get rid of them.

So if this is the difference between you killing Aul in 7 seconds vs 5 seconds, sure, place the mines, charge in, and start firing.

But given how long it'll take to place the mines, this doesn't seem very practical in any situation besides pre-boss setup. Mines have 1hp.

Also remember mines last for 5 seconds now. Lets say throwing 15 mines takes you 2 seconds. That gives you WHOOPING THREE SECONDS of 45% more damage.

It's only relevant on bosses you can camp, so basically only shaper and the elder guardians the latter of which dont really need a dps boost to kill anyways.
