This isn't really the point yes there are plenty of on death effects which all of have no impact on zombies either before or after the new gems :p and compared to actual you know living monsters they do next to nothing that isn't countered by simply moving (and more importantly with context to the thread have no impact on zombies next to you or attacking your target)

The problem with this gem is it will be very hard to justify using. Meatshield minions are almost never in a 6 link. So for a 4 link, any meatshield-type minion has to have empower lvl 3+ and their own gem. Minion Life Support Gem is mandatory for high level play if you want real meatshields, even for zombies. That leaves only one slot left for the last gem. That puts this gem up against resistance gem, speed gem, aoe gems, damage conversion gems, damage gems so the minion has relevant damage, etc. This new gem would have to be better then ALL of those to be worth using. If it is better than all of those other gems then i don't see the reason to have made a new gem since it's effectively replacing things like speed or resists. If they just wanted power creep they coulda just stuck the new effect on the old gems.
Minion Speed -> Aggressive added
Minion Life -> Meatshield added

It might give more damag, but at downside - your minions suck at clearing. If it gives a lot of damgae it will be "switch for big bosses" type of gem, like conc effect/slow proj for example.

If they did that, then your Minion Life gem, which is used a lot, would also change the AI of said minions, which a lot of builds really might not want. It might very well kill Minion Life as a popular support gem option. Maybe slapping it onto Minion Resists might be better, since that's not used as much, but even then it's sorta mixing things up in a way that at least some players might not like.

Depends on the numbers, there are plenty of circumstances in PoE where a zombie block around you gets you killed instantly i'm not really sure its a desirable support. Dead enemies do no damage is kinda the mantra of the whole game i'd probably prefer they ran off to rumble.
Dead enemies are the most dangerous ones :D But i get it, "kill it before it kills you" meta, eh?

I found out that enemies which flee from you deal no damage. Blade Storm with Chance to Flee is a curious crown control tool.

Neat idea, but magic monsters have a 50% chance to resist fleeing, and rare and unique mobs are immune. Which sucks!

So the only enemies that dont die the moment you see them are immune to chance to flee. Sounds as very "usefull" mechanic (it wasnt usefull even 7 years ago)

Dude people are really sleeping hard on the utility Bladestorm offers us now. One of the best new melee skills they added this patch and no one seems to get it for some reason.
There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.
The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear.
