Can someone explain why so many players are using rage in the 6 link cyclone. In PoB infused chan and maim both do a lot more damage.

Tried that several times, doesn’t work.

Also, in Alva temples in t14+ maps, the clear speed sucks, very hard to get 100% clear and stones in.

And similarly in legion encounters. I just think the build is too slow to do this sort of content well

Even without helm enchant. My standard exile don't have it and went just fine.

Your damage comes from reckoning, not cyclone. More reckoning damage is better because of buffed monster HP/phys reduction.

To be honest I'm running a more DPS oriented tree, because of that, but the survival is the same. But just follow it when you're confortable with the build.

I don’t see reckoning doing enough damage. Cyclone is doing the killing most of the time. Like the other poster, the little icon doesn’t go off enough
finally someone feeling the same...

yesterday i finally bought surrender.
still 90% of mob killing is cyclone. which is fine and enough damage.
but rarely reckoning does anything to bosses.
it just doesnt proc often enough.

than i switched some gemms for fun.
my normal cyclone setup was like the original poster just with maim for rage. (i dont have the maim armor mod)
the tooltip damage fully buffed was around 350k
with pulverise+brutality and infused channeling it went up to 900k.
thats insane.
did no one ever tried that?

PoB didnt give a hint about that.
it was just try&error

Without the Helm enchant your reckoning will simply not proc often enough. That's your problem

is the enchant that strong? i mean it change CD from 0.4 to 0.31 but the dmg is way lower on both cyclone and reckoning.

In that case its better to have a random helmet with the enchant or the abysus? i am running labs trying to get the enchant but until that
I tested on PoB both enchant and cooldown recovery on belt stacks,so i'm running with belt looking to get the enchant too.
