Path of exile similar to dungeon siege?

I played so much Dungeon Siege that I learned how to program ( a bit) in the tank language to hack my parties (gargoyles and skeletons). I was playing DS1 right before playing this.

That said, I really don't get the DS1 vibe from this game. It was much more common fantasy (castles, kings, goblins, etc..) w/ a touch of steampunk. This feels much more evil to me.

DS1, IMO, is one of the best RPGs in history. It raised the bar and was ahead of its time.
DS2 was fun and had a better skill system. DS3 was a console game on PC, but I enjoyed that too. I seriously doubt there will be a DS4 after how bad DS3 tanked.

Ditto on the Titan Quest. City of Sarn and the Ledge look straight out of Titan Quest. Me and my g/f both thought that when we started playing.

Game play, loot, auras, bosses, etc... I'd say it's modern Diablo 2.

awwwww now i want to play ds1 =)
What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?

Dungeon Siege is not Path of Exile.

I've heard Confrontation is similar to Dungeon Siege, but haven't played it myself to be able to confirm that.

Yea, sure, I could draw a lot of parallels between the hack'n'loot style of gameplay this game has and the sort in Dungeon Siege, but there is a huge difference between that vanilla hack'n'loot gameplay and what Dungeon Siege offers that makes Dungeon Siege what Dungeon Siege is.

Lets just say that it is similar enough and that you'll only have to micromanage one character.
