Path of exile similar to dungeon siege?

I was just wondering since dungeon siege was one my first video games I got into but has anyone else felt this game has a very "dungeon siege" type feel to it?

It's more of a "Diablo 2" type feel.

yeah definiately Diablo 2 cause you only have 1 person to control

Speaking of Dungeon Siege, I feel PoE could have a lot more random dungeons, caves, ruins etc spread across the world maps.
Doesn't have to be a Morrowind with like 500 caves and dungeons but a little bit more wouldn't hurt.

dungeon siege 2 mobs could kill you in 2-3 hits, seems accurate enough.

POE feels in a league all itself to me.

I loved DS1 and played it with friends for years.It was brutal at the last difficulty and I suppose that's similar.

Thought less of DS2,but it was ok.too much automation for toons.

Hated DS3 with a passion.game turned simpleton.


I liken POE to Titan Quest.yet still very different in a lot of ways.everyones gonna hate me but,I still enjoy TQ more than POE.Actually I still enjoy it more than any of the new games.Probably because of historic reference.

No like others have said.Other than D2 ,Titan quest is about the closest.Both Dungeonsiege and Sacred have significantly aspects that set them aside,Sacred with its open world and Dungeonsiege with it's party system of controlling more than one character at a time.

As far as I'm concerned it's just a random game that got labled DS3.Maybe one day someone will create a game in the spirit of the other 2 like they have done with other games(like POE!).

I actually liked dungeon siege 3 but I don't see it as a true dungeon siege game.

definitely feels like dungeon siege to me, the item looks and everything are just so nostalgic
