Legion Statistics: Unique Items and Areas

It would be great to see actual numbers instead of top 10 lists to see just how overwhelming the top couple items are and what it's done to the diversity in the game.

Why is some fucking white tier map one of the best wealth generating mehtods in every league? Those glaciers etc shouldn't even be yellow imo. They should be red, so that you actually need a solid character to profit there, instead of the 3 k life of whatever bow chars with tornado shot.

Haven't farmed glacier or any of those maps at all. Sounds boring af. Imagine that being your whole gameplay.... /yawn ... and for what? So you can buy a HH and farm more lol? Why? xD

+1 for better endgame payoff,
13 UE's got me just barley 3 exalts. which comes close to the mear cost of fragments (and this isn't including my 4 trialruns until i fleshed out all problems out of this char...)

imo Synthesis may have been too complex to get into, but had a much clearer reward for playing highend

It's not that 'casual players need...' , it is a bit more complicated.

1 - It is that certain divination cards drop only on particular low tier maps and no matter where the superb cards drop these maps will be farmed more than the rest.

2 - Leagues like legion are more profitable due to (splinters/fragments/more items) when the map that you farm is open and smooth with no obstacles, even if no div cards are present.

3 - Certain builds are made for fast paced playstyle to farm low tier maps and the game doesn't allow this for high tier maps since you would have to sacrifice your speed for survivability and even if they increase the drop rates for high tier maps it will still be more profitable to do low tier maps 'faster' , since it will yield the same amount of currency. thus even if they remove glacier another one takes the place.

4 - This one is more general and related to the core of the game. there is no threshold map tier aspect to where the items/orbs (World drops) drop. Everything could drop everywhere at any level. This makes the farming of red tier maps less desirable and this is literally the core of the game and will never ever change (This is even intensified during leagues such as legacy or legion or other ones that have a mixed bag of other leagues) . Also the items that are specific to bosses 99 % of the time suck, so farming bosses is meh. (ggg doesn't like to gate 10/10 items behind bosses).


I am sure there are more things that doesn't come to mind but I will leave it at that.

Relating to the 'farming' well my friend , this whole game revolves around killing monsters. Whatever you are trying to do to your character it will ultimately lead to killing more monsters. So saying ' to get a HH and farm more ? ' . well , YES ! LMAO . what else do you want to do ? ride a dragon ?

+ HH is not a mandatory item, it is the strawberry on the cake. ONLY in this league due to mechanics people bring it up to the discussions.

I ran this league dozens of red corrupted maps, the drops were not worth mentioning.

Maybe GGG should also think about a global map progression, which increases the drop rate for valuable items. The progression increases every time, when you run for example a (corrupted) red map with dangerous mods. Once the progression reached the end, you get a guaranteed valuable item (high-tier rolls or you get a chance for a valuable unqiue item chosen by you). Or you continue the progression on a higher level (for exampele only => tier14 maps count) to get an even more valuable drop etc. And if you die, you loose a percentage of your progression. This toughts could also be transfered for a gear-progression: If you reached the end of the progression, you get a chance to improve it or craft an additional affix. (I like the idea of Kanai's Cube from Diablo 3)


Deaths should also affect the drop rate: Currently a deathless UElder/UAtziri/Shaprer-kill has no effect on the drop-quality. Why should i aim for a deathless kill if the reward is the same with 5 deaths? i don´t get it.

1.Make end-game content profitable and not filled up with meh items (Atziri,Uber-Atziri,Shaper,Elder,Uber-elder)

2.Rework or tweak plenty of uniques to be usefull (those are getting really old, theres like 10% of them usable)

3.Make higher tier maps more rewarding instead of few white ones (it sux af)
