Problems in Washington Datacenter?

I see a lot of people testing against wdc-m.speedtest.pathofexile.com, and I'm curious why... GGG's troubleshooting document (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/361292) recommends to test against the gateway you're trying to connect to.

I had problems around the time OP did, but they resolved in about 2 hours and DC has been stable for me ever since. Here's my trace to wdc.login.pathofexile.com:

As an aside... what weird routing that I would go to San Jose for the penultimate hop...
Don't run traces on the login server addresses. They're all behind Cloudflare, so all you're going to get is your closest Cloudflare edge.

I've had a close look into this and have been running connectivity tests to the Washington D.C. gateway today, but I am unable to find anything seriously amiss. The only thing I can see is some intermittent spikes in latency close to RR/TWC (in the 80ms range).
What would be correct then to test against? Can someone update https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/361292 with current information?

Ty Fitzy. Seems to have improved post 3.7.4c. No longer shooting up to 250-500ms just sitting in my hideout in Washington. Steady 24-36ms.

The issue isn't resolved, still getting lag spikes just sitting in my hideout.

Those values don't actually seem to continue to the end of the trace, so I don't think they are the cause here (those routers likely have ICMP packets at a low priority). I don't think the problem is showing up in the troubleshooting information captured.

The "--tcp" flag in the mtr command tells mtr to use TCP packets rather than ICMP to generate the report.

Okay - the latency still does not propagate to the end.
I am having the same issue. I am in Texas and 3 to 5 days ago I was getting extreme lag spikes connecting to the Texas server. So bad that I would time out moving from zone to zone. I then tried DC and while I did not get the time outs, the lag spikes were evident, better than nothing I suppose.

I went back to the TX server today and the lag spikes are almost unplayable. I am going to try the CA server this evening.
