Lag and rubber banding

the distance alone gives a good bit of latency, which will make you rubberband locationally

Other than that you have not captured the lag you speak of, either by being in the game while you test it, or by just straight up running the test when it wasn't happening.

Also, this rubbish with the "other games work fine"...it's meaningless, their servers would be in different locations and as such take different routes, they also handle the latency a lot differently, the reason PoE is as responsive and tight on the controls is because it relies heavily on your connection being good...other game like it have this delayed floaty feel to it and you can click a vendor from half a screen away as they try to hide latency/packet loss.

Please bear in mind that I have been playing POE without issue for almost a year and that the mentioned lag issue only started around two weeks ago.

I really don't understand why a few players get so defensive when it is mentioned that other games are working fine. Not everyone is implying that the other games are better than POE or that POE is the issue. Though I can only respond for myself, this was mentioned simply as a "basic reference" for the developer to show that the connection is working and stable enough to run other games regardless of distance or pc spec (whilst acknowledging that it is not an accurate or ideal measurement).

Most of us are here because we share one thing, we are fans of POE and if concerns are raised it is because we love the game and want to continue playing and supporting it.

Some get defensive because it's almost a meme at this point. Nearly every issue reported has an added note ''other games work fine'' or ''this just started happening''

If it really just started happening and up till then everything was perfectly fine, something changed on your end. Windows update, Net provider changed something, a sniffle caught by your pc or any other number of things.

No rest for the wicked.

Ping spikes of around 1500ms from South Africa as well. Have tried everything. even my ISP looked in to the issue.

Not sure where in SA you are from, but as you can see the issue is apparently on our end according... Good luck.

That's what i did when my main gateway had problems.

The problem is GGG guys, why would some instances have high latency and others low latency? Whenever I get lag, I try to ping famous servers like google, amazon, etc to check whether it's me or them. I've never gotten latency above 40-50ms, but then PoE suddenly spikes me to 160-200ms... I go to my hideout 30ms, I go to oriath, 200ms, I go to glacier map, 30ms, I go to Forge of the Phoenix 200ms. It is clearly not our internet... The GGG mods have even admitted in a previous post I made that they are having problem with SA gateways, but they seem to be having trouble solving their shit...

Same for me all Eu Servers with Lagspikes. Sometimes in Hideout/Maps.
50-65 packetloss is .....

Gameplay is like this at the moment. :(

The game is totally broken and GGG has no idea how to fix the problem ... There are thousands of WINMTR logs in the forum and GGG has not responded for weeks.

So sad ...

Because majority of them are posted by same people in double triple quadruple e.t.c posts.
It's the same thing with fps issues e.t.c, vast majority of topics are being spammed by same people.
Widespread issues get reported by masses, and by masses i don't mean few dozen or hundred people, in a grand scheme of things 100 or 200 players experiencing technical issues is basically a norm, when an actual problem occurs the forum and reddit get literally spammed by thousands 24/7 till it's fixed.

If the game was totally broken, nobody would be able to play. Well, either i am very humble, or my 70-144 fps with basically rock steady 60-70 ms is a crack induced delusion. That or a bunch of unlucky draws have gotten the short end of stick and cannot live without the acknowledgement that their problem that let's face it - clearly nobody really cares about - needs to be at the core of every developer's attention.
No rest for the wicked.
