I think they should have given us ride on Moas.
I know they added the Rhoas as a take off of the Moa but yeah a Moa would be cool Biggest flighless bird ever. Or the Haast Eagle biggest eagle that ever exisited. That would be cool as Pet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haast%27s_Eagle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moa But yeah kiwis are not bad third option. I love the way we identify ourselves as Kiwis even though we are quite the globetrotters. Tu Meke GGG

" ....Still... Cutest. Bird. Ever. =P " Interesting... Do you think Rhoas are a mix of Rheas and Moas? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheas Last edited by ac429#4687 on Jul 11, 2012, 10:34:22 PM

I think so yes. SInce the guys are from NZ and the most iconic bird of our country is currently the Kiwi the small cousin of a Moa.
However the Moa holds a special place in our hearts as an extinct Giant that was fairly unique. See in NZ we had no lions tigers etc our top predetors were Birds, this was a bird nation and to some degree still is. However with the introduction of man came ferrits rats cats dogs stoats etc so many of our flightless bird species died out due to this. The moa was hunted to extinction and so when the Moa went its top predetor the Haast Eagle died out too. Captain cooks Naturist/botanist that was onboard the boat that discovered NZ (for the white man anyways) wrote in his journal a lovely passage about the bird song and cacophony he heard upon pulling the boat into one of the many bays. We still have many beutifull birds but we have lost many to extinction and many more are endangered the Kiwi for example it nocturnal and whilst Iconic to each and every kiwi most of us have never seen one outside of a zoo. http://www.flickr.com/photos/iheartmuseums/4078684553/ Thats a display at our national museum in Wellington of the 2 big birds. So yeah there many links to our heritage in this game for instance the Marauder is covered in Moko (Maori) tattoos. I think its a nice touch personally. Anyways NZ bird history over and out haha Tu Meke GGG Last edited by LucidDreams#6490 on Jul 11, 2012, 10:50:47 PM
