with tabula and the embalmer together, how would you setup the gems?
should i basically use and effective 5link with the embalmer and get a better chest or should i keep a 6link and put HoA in the gloves? | |
" I would just keep tabula for now, have 6 link, and do not put HoAG into Embalmer. HoAG is not doing damage in this build, it is just to support main skill with poison chance and more chaos damage. With HoAG in gloves it is quite hard to use all 3 auras we use atm (Precision, Malevolence, HoAG). My builds:

So far so good. Ended up with a lucky Inspired Learning jewel drop on this character early into mapping giving me more than enough exalteds to buy the whole build if i wanted.
So with that taken care of a couple of things. Even before the adjustments I made this build pooped all over uber lab and progressed through it fairly fast though a full key run is difficult as SA is rather indiscriminate and a lieutenant is unlikely to survive. It's this same lack of discrimination that prevents me from using it on atziri though i dont doubt for a second the math is there. I shifted around the gem setup as I felt that free lvl20 vile toxins was wasted on a wither totem and opted instead for a beefier herald pet so I can be less active and more dodgy in chaotic legion and boss fights.Sure I lose out on malevolence but I feel the trade off is worth it and so far haven't noticed any significant drop off. She does okay in delves though its very hard to compare it to cyclone simply mincing the whole tunnel to fine mist. Im not really sold on the maloney's setup and im playing around with things. " That is pretty lucky, nice. Well, Atziri is actually super easy with this build, because the only thing that can really kill you there is reflect, and this build do not cares about that. For your changes, yeah, maybe the Lvl 20 Vile Toxins on gloves unused sounds like a waste, but it actually isnt, because the damage from those gloves is already very big, so we can just ignore that vile toxins mod. The reason why I did not went for linking HoAG are: HoAG got nerfed, i think it is now dealing around 30% less damage or something like that, and on other PF builds, even 6 link HoAG is not dealing enough damage to be worth both 6 linking and dropping Malevolence. I rather boost my main damage dealer through the roof than worrying about something secondary like HoAG just because it might feel like waste. I would love to get some damage output from it for sure, but, its simply not worth it. ALso, its kind of annoying to stack 40 virulence with SA on single target. And now for Maloney's. The sole purpose of Maloney's is to consistently apply Despair and generate frenzy charges on single target, and its fulfilling that purpose really really well. For mapping, you have frenzies from Blood Rage, and extra damage from Despair is not imporant, so for that scenario, just pretend Maloney's do not exists. For delves, I actually think this build is way faster than cyclone. The biggest breakpoint for smoothness is imo getting +1 SA enchant (checky my char for example) as they you always shoot at least 1 or 2 pods without charging your SA at all, so you just play the build like any regular bow build when mapping, e.g press the button, and delete everything near you, while running at fast speed, what is mostly superior to cyclone. The only annoyance comes when your flasks are down, but that should not happen anyway (and QoTF also smooths out mapping by a lot). My builds:

Small update:
- Moved Steelskin to CWDT setup - Moved Vaal Blight to Body Armour and added Increased Duration link to it - No Maloney's setup is now not using Vaal Blight These changes are mostly due to some playing with and without Steelskin. And I would say that Steelskin makes very big difference, and self-casting it is just annoying AF. So, I decided to move it to CWDT setup, and just drop Vaal Blight from No Maloney's setup (e.g budget setup is now using only Vaal Haste). Ofc you have space for Vaal Blight if you want to, just put it to body instead of Faster Projectiles for Blink Arrow if you want to).
