African servers please :)

As the crow flies, it's about 8 000km (8 000!) to the nearest PoE server.



I do not have great connectivity at home (fibre is on its way, god willing) but suffice to say, under the best conditions the game is playable, for sure. However, any connectivity issues and it's a real mess, and Legion has made it far, far worse. Best case scenario, I'm generally looking at a relatively stable ~190ms. ANY strain on the network, or via my cellphone (which is fine until a Legion encounter), and Legion encounters are ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYABLE - I'm talking about latency so bad the timer is down before I am able to do anything.

Not helped by the fact I rolled Gladiator and half my abilities don't work in the encounter...

I know this is ultimately an issue with my own connectivity but it is so frustrating that I am about ready to throw my monitor into the sea. In any event, I'm feeling moved to do my per-league post about local servers. This is the second largest continent in the world, and here at the tip of it in South Africa, it's a long, long goddamned way to the servers.

I'm not looking for comments from the peanut gallery, as it's all been said before - I would just love some visibility on this again for GGG (who are not unaware of the issue).

I love this game, and this league and the melee improvements are a triumph. Thanks GGG, but please, for the love of all that is holy in this world, put servers somewhere on this continent
