The build gains charges from 3 sources.

1st: 20% chance for frenzy charge on hit.

2nd: 25% chance to gain frenzy charge on kill while affected by blood rage

3rd: 69% chance to gain a frenzy charge on kill on killing a frozen enemy with HoI since it is linked with Icebite

So I'm level 50 in hardcore at the moment. I've chosen to level with cyclone. I started out using frost blades, but cyclone just feels smoother for leveling.

This is my level 50 tree atm.

The gloves are actually super bad, because I do not have any cold penetration.

Would Farrul's Fur be better than a Shroud of the Lightless? gets rid of the frenzy charge generation problem and is just overall solid. I assume you chose not to because of cost?

There's difference aspects to take into account.

1. Farrull will not refresh unless you do not have maximum charges, so in fact you have times where you would need some sort of force to refresh the farrul buff cycle.

2. In order to achive this cycle you would need even more pressure on your suffixes due to fitting in a aspect of the cat somewhere, and I feel like we are quite pressed already

3. You would lose the tripple 39% penetration, which grants insane amounts of damage

4. Farrul is good, but if you have some way of generating frenzy and power chargees, it is just not that great. The opportunity costs for using the armour is quite big.

5. I prefer not making expensive guides. I am always looking somewhere between 1-5 exalts for decent gearing :)

I've bought this so far for a total of

Cards: 94 c (~1.1 exalt hc)
5-linked shroud: 80 c (~1 exalt hc). I will hit it with 3 red chromatic and hope for the best, then I will use vorici on it and cross my fingers. Otherwise I will create my own when I get some jewellers/fusings/crafting recipes grinded.

Helmet: 15 c

Boots: 15 c

Gloves: 15 c, They were way cheaper than corresponding with 25% cold conversion. I think the 40% from passive tree will be enough to shatter, but I will ofcourse put it to the test.I just like having atleast 30% resistance and 400+ accuracy on the gloves

Mark of the elder: 10c. This is realy cheap for uber elder loot on hc. Great rolls.

Helmet: 15 c. I like that I have a free suffix to craft whatever needed resistance

I just ripped at Gruthkul, lol.

I gotta say, the damage was not that great. I will look into trying to level with twink bowgear and see if it faster / easier

Gonna try and path for raider area to start with. I should be able to spec from bow to 2handed weapons within the amount of respec points that are given
