I believe EO gets procced by the CWDT Purifying Flame and Wave of Confiction.

Hi there!

I've been playing for a while, but this is the first character I've taken into red maps. I'm hoping to finish Zana's questline this League (hopefully with this build!), but I'm concerned that my DPS isn't going to be high enough.

Some of my gear i've crafted/found myself, but I've never messed with crafting before this league so I'm still learning.

I'm level 83,

I have two gear options I've been messing with: (pob links)

Scepter+Shield: https://pastebin.com/HDqF3rC0
-> Feels super tanky, but lacking in damage

Dual Scepters: https://pastebin.com/99vZBWjD
-> Better damage, but dies way too easily

I'm still taking the nodes that go to Constitution for now, because PoB doesn't show enough of a DPS increase yet to put them somewhere else.

Got any advice? Thanks for the guide!
Hey dacooksta,

Great job getting to red maps! It's crazy there ;). I think insisting on your chest piece is the biggest hindrance to your DPS. Not being able to add Concentrated Effect or another support you like is pretty limiting. Otherwise you need one of the "5 or 6 link" helmets that adds relevant support gem as a mod.

In this video I'm using this gear. These are Tier 14 and 13 maps. My equipment could be MUCh better, but that's just what's fallen. Try the dual wielding. See how it goes.

Correct. EO gets activated from the CwDT spells. Here's my most recent sessions with the build. Take a look and see if EO is on enough for your liking.

For chest options, I have:
Belly of the Beast -

and a rare one that I crafted -

I might be doing PoB wrong, but when I compare the build's dps with one of the above options with the dps of Kaom's (making sure to make the gem changes too), Kaom's is still pretty far ahead.

Should I swap to one of the other two options?
Hello there! Thanks for good build!) One question - fron what lvl or from what amount of regen can I switch to RF?

I doubt your doing it wrong. Path of building doesn't have every option available within it, but it's pretty accurate when it comes to the RF stuff as far as I can tell. Do what you think works best. I always have a preference for allowing room for improvement. But if the eventual improvements don't exceed the original Kaom's plan, then you may as well go Kaom's. I personally love the Hauberk.

If you have that kind of gear though, you likely have the currency to play around with all three options. Sometimes DPS on paper shows up in gameplay as efficiently as it looks. Other times DPS on paper is hard to come by in gameplay for some reason.

Sorry for the general response but I am looking forward to hearing what you chose to do.

Hey jenkirymo,

If you want to play laid back, wait until you have Purity of Fire and Tasalio (ascendancy node). If you don't mind running around and hitting more buttons, once you get Purity of Fire you can cast and run to your Holy Flame Totem's Consecrated Ground for the extra 6% life Regen.

So you could try the desperate attempt at level 24. It'll start naturally happening in your forties or fifties. Maxing your fire resist and getting life regen from your insurance charges are what I focused on for sustaining RF. So it all just depends on where you're going on the tree.

Does that help at all?

Big thanx for reply! Get my 1s ascendency today, will try to use RF tomorrow with PoFire)
Playing your build and loving it but at lvl 39 Tasalio taken, 258% Fire Resists, and lvl 5 PoF Im still NOT able to sustain RF- my life disappears in 5 seconds.. IM guessing a few more levels are needed so I can get more life > or more regen or something...

In game since Minotaur League..
