Were the game-breaking intervention encounters fixed? That was one of the biggest reasons I stopped playing. Freeze, freeze, freeze.. dead.

It was also the reason I didn't buy a supporter pack last league. I don't see the issue mentioned anywhere in these patch notes, but perhaps I'm blind.

You're not blind. I searched for it too. No mention whatsoever.

Which is dumb, because it's such an easy fix: pre-load the encounter just like Fortification, Transportation, and Research are, and just make it so you have to talk to Jun to trigger it.

The fact that they force the encounter to load AFTER all other map assets is just...baffling. It's such an easy fix that they have failed to address for 3 whole months.

You're not alone. I stopped playing Synthesis for that reason alone, along with my normal group of friends. Issues like this should in no way still exist in a game that has such an otherwise dedicated and receptive development team.

Preloading allows you to time your load screen and now predict what may spawn thus allowing you to just leave if you dont like it and load another map. So now to avoid that they have to load everything 100% and set a load screen time of say 30 seconds no matter what for every single map so you cant guess. Last thing I and probably many others want is a 30 second loading screen every map. Nevermind the people that bitch about 5 seconds being to long for incursion loot to pop. So no its not just an "easy" fix. I have zero lag issues and a 30 second loading screen would piss me off beyond belief. If i wanted that shit I'd go play console games.

What are you talking about? In Betrayal, the encounters were loaded at the same time as the map, so all the assets were already there when you spawned in. There was never a 30 second load screen. It worked fine under those circumstances. The only thing that changed in Synthesis was the specific Intervention encounters being loaded post-map load, since Betrayal encounters were no longer a guaranteed spawn. Currently, all other Betrayal encounters like Fortification, Research, and Transportation are already loaded when the map loads, along with any other Master missions as well. It's a literal non-issue and is an easy fix that has been ignored for no reason whatsoever with absolutely no explanation given by GGG.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, should subject you to a local I/O or server-side load latency in the middle of a map. It is the cause of a huge amount of frustration for anyone trying to level through their 90's or just about any Hardcore player that realized last league was pretty much unplayable for them due to unpredictable and unavoidable deaths due to screen freezes and outright crashes.

Until they nerf everything...
Fairgraves 1:21 Naked came I out of the sea, and naked shall I return thither; GGG hath given, and GGG hath taken away
Sad. I would prefer they implemented this patch into this new league only and left standard league alone. Why wouldnt you just let us play our mages? I do not want these changes.

I want VANILLA POE SERVER!!!!

in my memory vanilla has only 3 acts with Piety as final boss
Harsh RNG, fair trade is dead, botting everywhere, oneshot mechanic -=RIP=-
Casters must suffer.
Is GGG willing to share the new evasion formula?

There are a few ways to change the constants so that evasion rating is worth less at low values, and about the same at moderate & high values. Curious if that's how they did it.

I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.

A lot of pog- and hype- tards were detected and now they cry. Feels good.
Finally got my build up to snuff with the changes 3.7 will bring to my Inquisitor. It's a net gain, gotta say I'm surprised. The repositioning of a few choice nodes has made for more convenient grabbing of more damage and HP. Plus, the Utmost Might sphere...omg I love it. Had to change a crafted mod on a ring to make up for some elemental resist loss. But that isn't a problem either. Best of all, it put me in snatching distance to a new Sphere. The Gladiator's Perserverance, which unlike the other Leeching spheres has a base Attack leech instead of Physical attack leech. This allows my 100% converted Inquisitor to Leech life effectively. Overall, I like the tree changes. I'm not particularly fond of the change to Multistrike. Mainly I'm unsure as to how much damage it'll Impact from my Smite. But we'll see once PoB updates skills soon.

I know alot of folks are genuinely disgruntled at the nerfing of Casters in some regard. But I personally believe this was necessary. On PS4 a goo 9/10 people I played with were either a Heirophant, Witch (any iteration), Shadow caster or some off typed Scion caster. The variety was awful. Plus, a good majority of the people I played with said they played casters not becuse they like the character type perse'. But because it was most efficient. I don't know about everyone else, but I could do to play with a group that doesn't lag me to death with excessive spell animations when I get into melee range.
