After years, im actually hyped anticipating a game release

uhhhhhh....

so yeah, i've always been a pretty big fan of borderlands. its probably my favourite shooter series. borderlands i've probably logged a thousand hours on that game in total. borderlands 2 was AMAZING but didn't have the longevity surrounding it like the first did, at least for me.
i haven't played the others.

however this....this. this looks incredible. fantastic trailer. i cannot wait for this game now.

of course i will almost certainly not pre-order or even buy on release. its just a requirement now-a-days with gaming to wait a couple of weeks for REAL reviews to come through the hype and paid reviews, and for release issues to be patched out etc.

but god damn. borderlands was always looter shooters done right.

Yeah I'm just praying its not an Epic exclusive
I dont see any any key!
I just hope they don't follow current trends and make the game unnecessarily worse. Just gimme good old Borderlands with new content.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
apparently they're releasing a borderlands 1 game of the year edition, with
"
new weapons, visual upgrades, character heads, gold chests and keys, plus all 4 add-on packs
on April 3rd.

im not sure this is going to be worth it. im going to wait a see what the reviews on the new content are like, and what the pricing point is.
This is not on the level of "I want it yesterday" anymore. At this point, I NEED Borderlands 3. It looks absolutely amazing.
I mean, just look at the guns shown in the trailer, those look absolutely fantastic! I wish I could play it right now...
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

IF you own borderlands 1 on steam before April 3, you can download this GOTY edition for free, with ALL of that stuff.

I know what im doing that week.

The fact they GearBox is giving owner of Borderlands 1/2 on PC free Ultra HD DLC is amazing, along with all the dlc for the VR version.

Me thinks that just like Bethesda they might try to ride on the wave on righteous rage against Epic and it's growing anti consumer monopoly.

Not sure if it's like Skyrim and some other games and have the Ulta HD as a DLC or if they'll be separate games?
The GotY edition is probably a separate game, because there ARE gameplay changes involved with this edition.

2009's Borderlands is returning in a new Game of the Year Edition, releasing on April 3rd. It'll be free to all existing owners of Borderlands on Steam, 2K has confirmed, and it'll make a bunch of small but significant tweaks to the game. As well as a minimap in the style of Borderlands 2 which you can switch on or off, the inventory system will be simplified, and you'll automatically pick up items found on the ground like ammo and health.

There are more fundamental tweaks to the game, too. The game's final boss has been altered for a tougher, more rewarding challenge, and to make it a more "engaging" encounter.

The SHiFT player rewards are also coming to the game—anyone who's played Borderlands 2 or The Pre-Sequel on PC will get 75 free Golden Keys, as well as two random new weapons when they create a new Vault Hunter. Six new legendary weapons have been added to the game, too, which you can unlock by hoovering up Golden Keys or by defeating bosses. More customisation options are being added for player characters, too, with five swappable sets of head gear for your Vault Hunter available at the start.

Visual upgrades are a bit harder to parse—the PC version is referred to as visually remastered, so we'll see what that entails when we try it next week. The most important detail for PC players, as mentioned, is that owners of the original Borderlands on Steam will get the upgraded version for free (obviously you'll have to buy the game otherwise). You don't need to own the DLC to get this new edition, either—just the base game. I double-checked this with 2K. If you never tried the first game's expansions, now you can without paying an extra penny.

shit. i wanted to just highlight the important stuff, thats literally the whole article.
