Need advice on building a new PC for PoE

I recommend:

1) 1000 euro

Intel Core i5-9600K
Cooler Master Hyper 212
ASRock Z390 EXTREME4 - Intel Z390
Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 4133
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti VENTUS XS 6G OC, 6GB GDDR6
SSD whatever cheapest 120gb for Win 10 (2euro) + PoE + 50 giga free space for some game you play.

2) 1040 euro
If you dont have power supply:

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G, 6GB GDDR5
Seasonic Focus Plus Gold, 550W


If those +40 euro is too much you can buy 3866 Mhz RAM that are 40 euro cheaper - search in this QVL list.



Case is not present, but as you are upgrading you can simply use the one you have now or none (as I do most of times) and old mobo + cpu + ram you can sell in bazar pretty easily if price is proper and buy whatever you need - most probably bigger ssd, new mousepad etc. For CPU OC you can use presented in list CPU fan, but Noctua NH-d15s is king. ASRock mobo work pretty ok to 4900Mhz.

Regards SSD: here is list of games that I have on disk and some of those are on hdd as loading times do not make difference - LoL, CS.. 240 giga ssd is plenty of space as once you finish game u delete it. Movies, music, etc you can have on hdd as it makes no difference.

Prey 21 giga
Pathfinder 30 giga
Call of Duty 85 giga.
Elex 35 giga.
LoL 18 giga.
Counter Srike 20 giga.
Dark Souls 25 giga.


This PC is cca 10% slower than 9700k/9900k youtube comparision with different gpu, sometimes are even. Later you can sell GPU and buy 2080 ti or whatever.

edit: if you need more power, you are able upgrade to i7 9900k
