(3.14) Toxic Rain + Caustic Arrow | 5-10m Sirus DPS | Fast + Durable | 50c Budget/SSF Uber Elder

Struggling with this build. I just got maps and hit a wall and am farming currency in the mean time. I must admit, have been playing this game casually since there were only 3 acts and this is the farthest I have gotten. I really dont understand how you acquire so many specific modifiers.

would anyone mind giving me a rundown on how to craft this efficiently? looks to be my best upgrade getting a good frenzy on hit chest.

Is it simply use a redeemer ex orb on a good base and get lucky? or transfer it with awakener orb? I am not very experienced with crafting and ready to learn

Thank you

Good luck to all and see you next league!!!!!!
@typicaldemon - this is an awesome build having lots of fun, thank you for posting this.

I'm starting red maps and wanting to shore up gear, and I just got a lucky drop and have about 12ex to spend. What's the next best gear upgrades for Damage? I feel pretty good on survivability. Thanks.

Alt spam/buy ilvl 80+ redeemer influenced base until you hit the suffix frenzy on hit (it must be the only redeemer mod on the item, be careful not to have multiple redeemer affixes or it can mess up the awakener orb).

Alt spam/buy ilvl 85+ crusader influenced base for the explode prefix, same deal, MUST have only one crusader mod.

Worth mentioning here that the chest which you click second (as in, the one which you apply the awakener orb to second) is the base you will end up with as double influenced.

This might not seem that important (beyond the obvious fact that it forms the base of the chest and as such you will want evasion/es base in our case) but it may have a significant impact on the overall cost. Since certain bases will innately be more expensive with the desirable influenced mods on them (obviously this only applies if you're buying items with the mods on, which may be preferrable particularly when it comes to explode mod), not to mention the cost of six-linking etc (which doesn't matter in our example but assuming you craft for other builds in the future it likely will).

So - you may wish to buy an ilvl 86 base if you're hoping for t1 life (which is unlikely either way but impossible if you don't have the ilvl, same deal with ilvl 84 and t1 res etc)

At this point you will end up with a chest with the two guaranteed mods (provided you only had one mod of each influence type on the requisite bases) and 2 additional random mods. Side note - it doesn't matter if the chests are magic when you awakener orb and it will be preferable to leave them as 2 mod items (obviously you can ignore this part if you decide to chaos spam or fossil craft for the mods, but for alt spam it's relevant) to avoid accidentally regaling a second influence affix. I forget if the chest can roll 5/6 total affixes but 4 is the minimum and there is no way to gurantee mods outside of the two that correspond to influence type.

At this point you can either craft a final res/life/whatever and be done. Or you may need to annul if you end up with 3 prefixes and no life/no slot for %es of max life etc.

Not an exhaustive guide but those are the basics.

If you're new to crafting familiarise yourself with poedb which has a full list of mods/bases and their ilvl/influence requirements. Not too relevant in this case but also extremely helpful is: craftofexile.

Hope this helps!

Edit: Just re-read your post and if you only want frenzy on hit and don't care about explode, it will be much cheaper overall and you can simply buy your desired base with redeemer influence and use your preferred crafting method (probably fossils or alt+aug spam/regal > multimod) to hit the mod in question.

Hey guys,

While on a budget/in low maps, has anyone tried Eldritch battery? It's only 4 node off. I know survivability takes a big hit, but it makes mana a breeze and in white/yellow maps the survivability issues is negligible until you get enough resists elsewhere to craft eleron mods instead of hybrid res on jewelery.

Or is using clarity just easier?

Just wondering, because I'm thinking of re-specing and I'm already speced into Eldritch Batter. I would obviously plan on dropping it once I have better gear and can easily get enough -mana cost on gear.

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain that, I have a much better understanding of it now and will attempt this soon

I tried it in the past with devouring diadem (allows to fit an extra aura thanks to 20% reduced reservation), but back then it wasn't so goddamn expensive, this league it's no longer a "budget option".

I tried EB without the diadem but any "reduced recovery" map was awful, it's was like no mana regen slog.

If you go EB I'd highly recommend getting more life and acro as defenses and getting 500-800 ES but not more as it's kinda wasted.

On the other hand, you can just save the points and run enduring mana flask.
Hello,

i dont want to craft a bow, so im looking to buy it.
Also, i dont want to waste like 20ex for attack speed bonuses.

Is this bow could be end game ?
