PlayStation 4 Release Date: March 26th
Seeing as they totally ignore their player base, my excitement for release just went down to zero. I was hoping for a fleshed out release with enough preload time, but it seems we'll just have a rushed beta that will be fixed over and over again before it's fully playable.
I'll probably drop by around late summer, to see if the game's in a decent enough condition to play it. Last edited by Devean#2790 on Mar 20, 2019, 6:04:32 AM

I'm fully expecting the release to be further delayed.
GGG have said, on at least one occasion, that the game was delayed at least once for league-timing reasons. Launching right at the end of the Betrayal league wasn't desirable, so the game was delayed until early Synthesis. Trouble is that plan has kind of backfired in more ways than one. Not only are PS4 users getting more and more annoyed at the seemingly endless wait, but the Synthesis league seems to be a particularly disliked league: complaints are flooding-in thick and fast, people are quitting the league early and the whole thing has mostly been a disaster (especially since one of the biggest flaws, the Betrayal inclusion, also applies to Standard). And *that* is the league PS4 PoE is (allegedly) going to launch-into. That's going to be many thousands of potential longterm players' experience of the game; and the reality is that PS4-specific issues aside, a ton of console players with little investment in the game will run into the same problems that PC users are having, leading them to just abruptly quit completely. PC users have at least played the game long enough to be addicted, or at least be hopeful that the next league could see massive improvements. The new PS4 community will judge the game based solely on their experiences in the first week: if they get utterly destroyed in Cavas rifts, or by Interventions, they'll just decide the game just isn't worth their time and they'll find something else to play. So I suspect GGG fear exactly that, and could be silently organizing a strategic delay to June so the game gives a better first-impression. But if the PS4 community, who already waited since December and have been continuously disappointed with delay after delay, are told to wait a further TWO MONTHS they'll mostly all just be so fed-up and angry that they'll give-up waiting and never give the game a chance at all. |

" Let's have a bet =) If I'm right and there will be no another delay you'll give me your first chaos orb(I hope we'll be able to do that on PS4). In case of another delay I will give you my first chaos(in June, I guess). |

we are now, what, 2 weeks into the league? I would hope GGG wouldn't delay the release again just because of league timing...

So proud to have been a part of this community and watched this game grow. Will be one of those games that reminds me of a certain period of my life. Now bash me for being cheap and having no supporter badges even tho ive played for a long time. TY GGG

You all who say a delay on PS4 is such a tragedy forget there's not too many free games on PS4, even fewer that aren't pay to win or are worth playing long-term. Add to that Neverwinter (one of the few) is about to launch a game-killing mod on pc with the PS4 release not long after, so whenever POE launches, no matter how long players had to wait, people will try it. I'm kind of curious as to whether playing POE with a controller will stress my shoulder less than the mouse does on pc.
