Hello, if you want to go MoM I would really recommend trickster. Trickster ascendancies synergise very well with MoM playstyle.

Go: Weave the arcane --> patient reaper --> prolonged pain --> swift killer

This is roughly the tree I would use:

Note: I did the tree very quickly, it probably has a lot of room for optimization

Edit: if you want to go still occultist, I would recommend hybrid. You can go pure life / MoM, but occultist MoM will probably be more squishier than the hybrid approach.

1 more question for the hybrid you mentioned: Does hybrid mean I choose Witch/occultist with ES and Life Nodes on the tree + MoM (NOT useing Eldrich Battery)?

I currently have a life build with +181% Life from tree and MoM. Thats adequatly for a caster life build as far as i know

My hybrid Tree would be +112% Life/+188% ES from Tree or +131% Life/+158% ES from tree.

I would go without MoM, just pure life+ES. The upside is that pathing in skill tree is really efficient because you can just select big ES and life nodes.


Edit: now that I think this more Occultist hybrid + Mom using essence worm malevolence (without discipline) could be pretty nice! Play with POB to find out the most efficient combination

Hi, it's manual. My initial idea was craft rare +2 chaos staff, and add "trigger socketed spells when you use a skill" with 6-L ED. This would be nice because the 5s cooldown on the trigger doesn't matter since ED last longer than 5s.

However, I decided against it, because:
-Crafting better staff than cane of unravelling can get expensive
-Bane duration is so long that you have plenty of time to manually cast everything

However, the initial idea is still feasible. I think that the dude who killed uber elder with this build was using staff like that.

I don't think mana sustain will be a problem if using bane + ED. However ifmana regen is an issue, I would use lvl 20 clarity + arcane will node since it gives some ES as well.

However, looking at you tree you are picking MoM without any additional mana nodes and also no EB. You will have far too low mana pool to really benefit from MoM. I would recommend:

1. remove MoM and go just hybrid or;
2. remove some life nodes and pick more mana (+essence worm for malediction), something like this: https://pastebin.com/2VL2QSsv (very quickly made, most likely more efficient tree can be still made)

Also you picked a jewel socket on top of the tree left of hex master. That's 3 point investment. You have couple of better options:

1. 2-point socket, next to Method To Madness, or;
2. 3. point socket above blood drinker. 1 of those 3 points can be either all resists, ES and life or more damage depending on if you choose to path above or below the shadow wheel

I have a few questions after comparing your article with POB.

1. Does "bane" trigger 4-curse("despair", "enfeeble", "poacher's mark", "temporal chains")?
2. Is "temporal chains" better than "swift affliction" or "void manipulation" for "bane"?
3. Should I use "discipline" or "vaal discipline"?
4. Which one should I use "malevolence" or "vaal righteous fire"?
5. How can I use "vaal righteous fire"?
6. Is it better to have a 20% quality gem if possible?
