"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package." - Fix inside!

so here's what i did.
1.i made sure i uninstall the program and delete the folder manually

2. i follow the VPN thing. udp didint work for me so i got connected using the tcp

3. i right click on the .MSI (use the troubleshoot compatibility then click Start)

4. i open the game folder, right click on the CLIENT.ext and run as ADMIN.

5. then everything worked.,.


no more freezes and blue screen of death

The Instasller is a 6,61mb package, if your is not you don´t have the right installer !!!

I have tried to install the game several times now on windows 8 and whenever I do I get this message : This installation package cannot be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid windows installer package. Please help!

1. uninstall app
2. download and run ccleaner

-use the registry key fix up and delete old keys

3. install latest installer service

4. repair installer service

Same problem for me as well, only it tells me there is a D3D problem and that it has a non zero reference count and some items were not released.
Then another ones comes up after you say ok, that says; failed resetting direct 3D objects.
Then another that says; DXUT create device failed.
After that it lets you know it stopped working and says shut it down.
I hope this helps. I would really like to play.

try my suggestions

a. rule out your pc
b. rule out the drivers
c. rule out malware
d. clean it up
e. update it
f. reboot it (see my post above yours)

(will only work if you have more than 1 pc) (there is a problem error) i solved the problem by going on my dad pc and runing pathofexileinstaler.msi and copied the file to my usb key an runed the client on my pc and it worked

I have a problem with downloading the installer. Whenever i hit the 'Download Now!' button it prompts me to save the installer that shows it should be about 6.7 MB or something; then while it is downloading it cuts off at only a few KB. So I can't even download the installer to try. I have windows 7 on my laptop if that helps any.

omg i have a F@Kin problem with downloader
its about to finish and then it stopps and says:error:received http 403 while downloading
no one helps me with this?
